By the sounds of it Nurton was on a different planet this year & his mind wasn't with footy, Christofis would be stupid to follow someone like that which i have know doubt would affect Pauls ability & demeanour in more ways than one.
Don't lower your colours i say Stoff.

Whats with the nick-name STEAMBOAT?

wasn't Ricky 'the Dragon' Steamboat a wrestler in the 80's...............along with Hulk Hogan and King Kong Bundy and co.

I don't think there's enough room on the peninsula for 2 Ricky Steamboats :D

Hard nut Gowers if only his disposal was cleaner i have no-doubt an SANFL club would pick him up, he doesn't lack courage or ability to find the footy just his disposal needs a bit of work, in saying that if he worked hard enough on those weaknessess he's only 22-23yrs old so he has time up his sleeve to correct it. Maybe an SANFL club should pick him up & work with him.

Gower is fantastic, good to see him back. Other clubs might offer him good cash to play div 1. Too good for div 2, as is Stoff too good for div 4. Will try and get from the horses mouth what he is doing.

I bet if Districts were in Div2 they'd be going for Gower, like you will for next year, it doesn't matter though you can work as hard as you like he will not go to Districts i can gaurantee that.

They have a bit of work to do as far as recruiting so clubs would want to sign up there players quickly.
Districts are losing a few to retirements & if they lose Christofis there spines not looking to good for 2009.
Looks like its the regular trip to Alberton coming up for the Port Districts F/C as far as recruits go, i can't see them rapeing Seaton like they usually do as they havn't much to take from this year.
Interesting times coming up for Districts.

Good win by Salisbury Nth today. Watched the game and they played well, Gepps tried hard but just couldn't stick with em. Good game of Footy though!

Salis Nth too good on the day.worked the conditions better . all credit to both sides good footy all day in very ordinary conditions. #1 for SN very good all day , covered a lot of ground to work well for his team.#8[SN] off the backline provided a lot of run [got caught 1 or 2 times ] but created a bit .#31[SN] good up forward[ and on ball ].#29[SN] also gave good service all day.#21 for GX started well and was consistent all day .#18[GX] good in the backlines #35[GX] not outstanding but did his job when it was there.#24[GX] good but should concentrate on getting the ball first instead of going for the 'big' but fair hit or tackle. #41[GX]. never seen him play a bad game. very good crowd ,great game played in good spirit by both sides, and the effort of the players was appreciatted by the big crowd who supported their teams well and in good spirit. PS on a sour note , i don't usually comment on the umps but the LITTLE man in orange has to realise that people come to see the players do their thing , not him impose himself on the occasion by dragging free kicks from anywhere at crucial points of the game [ both sides ]. the umps last week [Hen v GX ] were very good
