Care to answer BH. Doing the traps that one all over Adelaide. As we have it down here you are sure to have heard it there.

No facility, ordinary supporters etc no finals. League is deciding according to a good source there BH and you likely not to have em

Plus the expected rise in car break ins when the $1500 fee to host a final is due!

Honestly that talk is a bit ridiculous. As far as facilities go as long as the changerooms have four walls and a roof, no-one should complain. Time for a few people to harden up. As far as the spectators go, a few need to be put in their place. Threatening other spectators isn't on(even when they do bite off more than they can chew!). Perhaps the freindly local constable should be the one to do it?

good call shrek not the greatest facilities down ep but ha if there club is willing to fork out
the fee well let them have a home final they deserve it they earnt that right i heard the club
has already put in for final up to the peoples at head quaters now.

Disagree
If Facilities, Oval is not up to standard then Clubs should not get finals
Finals is a showpeice for football
Changerooms
Bar Facilities
Catering
Car parking
Oval surface
All needs to be taken into consideration
Going down the list
Eastern Park.........NO........
Flinders Park........Yes to all above
Walkerville.......... Yes except car parking
Kilburn ...............Yes
Old Iggies...........NO
Para Hills............NO
Alternatives that Eastern Pk, Old Iggies, Para Hills could use is Salisbury, they could do a deal with Salisbury financially
I know all will say they have earnt it, but end of day SAAFL must only give Clubs Finals that have the Facilities to support them.

That's a good argument FF, and feel free to continue discussing it, but I reckon if you started a new thread, it could raise some very different views.

The atmosphere at Eastern Park was the best I've played in front of this year besides ANZAC Day. The blokes on the hill can give a bit of stick, but it's all in good fun and the hooters and other crap gives the place more noise than most grounds because of it's small size. Would be very stiff to not get what they've earnt.

And BH, I also picked you last week...

We wouldn't be able to do a deal with any other club FF, once the 'home' team isn't hosting, the choice of venue is up to the league. We might get it anyway, but it would be due to the legue giving it to us I think.

I wouldn't mind having Div 3 finals at our ground, we could sure use the BBQ, canteen and bar takings, but I'm sure Eastern Park, Flinders Park, Walkerville and Kilburn can all afford to pay for them.

Thanks LM, was about to mention that. We're the only northern club that are able to host neutral finals, next closest is Golden Grove I think, although they're parking and lack of facilities hurts their chances to host many of major signifigance.

We would love to have home finals however at the end of the day if the league decides we wont have them then so be it.
Complaints from other clubs about coming to Eastern Park might tell you they are a little intimidated.

To substantiate a claim that our supporters are that bad there would have to have been some incidents reported to the amatuer league throughout the year and to my knowledge that hasn't been the case. You can't just pipe up come finals time and say we don't want to play there cos......

I haven't come out and said we don't want to play at EP but I will say that your supporters are terrible. We weren't intimidated out there but having other spectators threatened for no reason is unacceptable. Maybe it should have been reported but the fact that it wasn't doesn't make their behaviour any better.

Your club seemed nice enough and we appreciated your president speaking to us after the game, but you are let down badly by a few supporters and it doesn't seem like the club has done anything about them.

To be honest haven't heard anything about anyone being threatened...however Kilburn wouldn't be one to talk bout supporters threatening people......been happening for years as you would know.

Every club has them and you can tell them to pull their head in but at the end of the day wat control do clubs really have.

I've never heard of anyone from Kilburn threatening women.

Our mound men sit on the far side of the oval away from everyone else so I find it hard to believe that they would have the opportunity to threaten other spectators.

Well said Boozey, I think its a fair case of pot calling kettle black personally.. I havent been out to EP for a couple of years now but in all honesty, if it were me I would deny EP a home final not because of supporters (that's just stupid really, that would discount half the league from having a home final  ) but for ground conditions...that's all.

That's not true, what happened is the worst behaviour I have ever encountered in my 5 years in the SAAFL. Anyway I was simply responding to an assertion that EP's supporters weren't poorly behaved, I never said they shouldn't have a final.

It is not "pot calling the kettle black" FC, as I said I have never seen or heard of what happened occuring at our club or any other club for that matter. I can assure if what happened the day we played EP happened at Kilburn those people would no longer be welcome at our club.

Was a disappointing loss when your 4-5 goals up in the second quarter. Some guy called Cantwell played at full-forward in the second half and went OK.

You don't have to pretend to be sympathetic mate, if you're from Para Hills I'm sure it breaks your heart to see us go down. Will be disappointing not to play Daisy and the boys again next year though, if indeed we do go down. Always good fun.

But yeah, Romeo on Flynn is interesting, thought they would've gone with Tyson?

Not sure if Para Hills will make the five though, percentage is poor compared to the rest. Can't see them beating Walkerville or Flinders Park and one win from the last three isn't gonna be enough I don't think.

I am dissapointed pag we did have same great battles over the years, but was speaking to ya mate crawford from pooraka and he said he cant wait to stand on ya again next year.
