Huge crowd at Largs North yesterday, good atmosphere with the crowd 360 degrees round the oval. Credit to North Haven for putting on a top day, more than held their own in Div 4 in their first year up and seem like a good bunch of blokes.

Salisbury way too good for us on Saturday. We couldn't find a way through their press which they set up very well all day and then they cut us up with good ball use on the rebound. All the best in the Grand Final, hope you smash Kilburn.

Maybe I assumed by this statement he didn't like losing to Kilburn. Nice to see you are onside to FC

Sorry luv, I just didn't see it as sooking.

What I saw is him congratulating Salisbury on being the better team on the day and then giving his tip. I understand you'd see it the other way though.

What has football come to if you can't publicly hope the opposition gets thumped (and I don't mean in the literal sense, purely the score sense)

At the end of the day, you can't have a crack at people because they're not going for you in the GF

Maybe Carey was right about the love ins. ;)

A huge scare at salisbury training last night with Pag going down in the middle of the session. In his words "he courageously was going back with the flight, eyes only on the footy when he tripped over a footy bag fearing he'd broken a leg". Said it was Glen Archer like courage, i think more like Justin Koschitzke lack of awareness. Luckily he will be all good to play. Whoever left that bag there will be very glad to hear he's ok.

A near catastrophe like that can ruin a teams GF preparation.

I may need to re-think my tip 8)

Grumpy old D grader here...Maybe SS wants Kilburn to be smashed because he wants Kilburn to lose!!!! Or should he just wish all the Gents to have a jolly good game???

Nothing sour grapish or sooking in wanting a team to be beaten! I second SS statement! I hope Kilburn get SSSSMMMMMMAAAAAASSSSSHHHHEEEDDDD!

and I didn't watch 1 A grade game all year. I just thought I'd comment so I can laugh at the reply you will no doubt write! bahahaha.

i watched a few A grade games this year was a very weak div 4

these 2 teams regardless of the outcome this week would need to invest big time to do anything in div 3 next year

Any team going from 4 to 3 has to invest regardless of the list biggest jump in the saafl i reckon

That's so cute, I remember thinking that when we went to Div 3.

The biggest jump is two to one. If you don't actively recruit big names you will only visit there.

Anyway I'm taking Salisbury in an upset 1-12

This is true. PNU'S 19-1 premiership side last year would have come 7th-8th in Div 1 this year but for the inclusions. (Having said that, take away a few season ending injuries to key players earlier this year who knows)

Play with the same amount of points in Div 1 as you do Div 7 though

Money doesn't automatically appear just by virtue of being promoted ;)

You actually lose money as you begin paying more for Umpires/Calls etc.

Financially D2-3 are much easier competitions to be in for that reason alone.

If you're in D1 and you have a home game, along with an Under 18s home game, along with a C/D grade playing elsewhere the amount you shell out for umpires any given weekend will blow your mind.
