I noticed the ingle farm player who got red-carded for striking a spectator against trinity last week was named on the team sheet today against Uni. Is that because his tribunal hearing was pushed to next week? Can't believe his own club didn't sit him out anyway.

On another note, we were disgraceful today. Blackfriars were hungry all day long and their ability to spread from stoppages was the best of seen in a number of seasons. Very few in our team came to play today which is just not good enough given the fact our finals spot is on the line. Another tough test for us next week against uni.

BOS's hands in close today were exceptional. Pressure on the opposition ball carrier was tremendous. Played very smart wet weather footy. Well done lads. Also becoming a very versatile group with a number of players capable of playing forward, back and around the ball.
Interesting note from the day was #15 in the midfield who seemed to be so much more interested in scragging and holding Blunty around the ball than getting the ball himself. Unusual for a div 6 game i thought, but a massive compliment to Blunty, still managed to get a fair bit of ball and use it well.

I hope this Ingle farm player gets himself sorted out as that club has done everything to get itself back on track but now appears to have fallen back into bad habits. Keep doing that and it will end up in Div 7

Was the tribunal waiting for an outcome of the hills league where a Callington player hit a spectator and got 4 games?

nothing going on here so i thought id do a review of the CLG v henley game.

the game was very tight in the first half thanks a little bit to our inaccurate kicking think it was
3.8 to 1.1 at quarter time which i think ended up being a one point half time lead to us.

conditions, as was the case for much of adelaide werent the best but we did have periods where the rain did stop and the game opened up a bit. the third quarter was where we really put the foot down and kicked 6 for the quarter to henley's one goal to go into the last break with a handy lead. we kicked the first two of the last and switched off a little which allowed henley to get back in it when they kicked four goals to end the game.

all in all, a win we needed but we need to play four quarters of footy if we are going to match it with teams like CU and glenunga which we have coming up in the next couple of weeks.

anyway, looking toward this week, and somewhat disenchanted with work at the moment ...

interesting round of games and average weather again predicted so anything could happen -

Gardens V United - would expect too much at stake for United to drop this one

Raiders v BOS - back to the ground of BOS' first ever SAAFL loss by 1 point in rd 13, 2006, 8th of July. controversial comparison of scorecards after the game held the final result up for a couple of minutes. also too much at stake for BOS to drop this one.

Farmers v Sharks - an even contest me thinks, but would have to take IF at home

Kooka's v Rams - top of the table clash, should draw a bumper crowd. very quiet from both camps on the forum this week. unimpressed by both recently. a draw.

TOS v Uni - interesting. TOS must bounce back after last week. tackling practice would have been on the agenda this week. not sure about uni's travelling habits so really can't pick a winner here with confidence. home side.
