Has taken a side that didn't play finals to where we are now. Doesn't have the resources or budget of most other clubs either which is a credit to himself and his assistant...
IMO I think our pressure on the ball carrier was match winning and something that flinders didn't handle that well. When our pressure dropped off, they worked their way back in. It's good as a footy side that we have our destiny in our own hands in that if we come with the right intesity and frame of mind, we win.

Why does the EP A grade coach bother playing in the B's? Not a bad grab and a decent kick on him but didn't do much at all on Saturday. May aswell just not play and give someone else a go, because once he comes off to get ready to coach the A's it leaves the B's with 1 man down.
p.s Anyone would of thought EP had won the GF the way they celebrated in the A's - what a carry on

Minor premiership is almost as important. He probably plays because he enjoys it and is worthy of his spot, you can't judge him on one game, I know that he's been a pretty handy forward over the years, he's only 33.

You must remember you are a long time retired from footy! He loves to play the game still, why should he have to chose between coaching and playing two's? Still contributes and is playing with his best mate. will be extremely important player for the Bs particularly come finals time.
As for the after match celebrations......I think its hilarious you have even brought it up. We won a very close and hard fought game that may decide top spot, which does comes with certain advantages come finals time. Everyone picked against us and it was at their home ground...footy is an emotional game mate, part of what makes it so great. Certainly didn't get too carried away with it.

Eastern Park Under 18s are crap and so I don't think he's taking a spot off any promising young kid, and I'm sure he's a massive asset to helping the young guys he does run out with. Blokes like Walton are there as well, and he doesn't coach the B Grade, just plays, so I wouldn't think he's making all the decisions anyway. If the bloke still loves his footy, why not let him play? Still be the best player in that side when he wants to be.

I have no problem with it either. Just wondering thats all; probably the only A grade coach i know who has a run in the B's before hand.
Not bitter either Boozehound, you guys are top for a reason - disapointed though we couldn't get up on our home deck. Didn't think you got carried away with the win though? Ok...

Seems all other clubs in the division have approached league about you not having finals with crowd behaviour, facilites etc.
Care to answer BH. Doing the traps that one all over Adelaide. As we have it down here you are sure to have heard it there.
No facility, ordinary supporters etc no finals. League is deciding according to a good source there BH and you likely not to have em

Plus the expected rise in car break ins when the $1500 fee to host a final is due!
Honestly that talk is a bit ridiculous. As far as facilities go as long as the changerooms have four walls and a roof, no-one should complain. Time for a few people to harden up. As far as the spectators go, a few need to be put in their place. Threatening other spectators isn't on(even when they do bite off more than they can chew!). Perhaps the freindly local constable should be the one to do it?

So Falcon Chick, what did you think....?
I saw the first half, which was pretty tight and you lot only broke away part way through the 2nd really... what I was most interested in, was the way Carey conducts his quarter time activities.
He speaks very well too(or was he being good for the camera)
