You are a sensitive bunch. Especially in light of comments by other posters.

Yes I have had a go at the nickname, get over it. I would post the same comment about any other coach in Amatuers or the SANFL and probably everyone but Leigh Matthews.

Challenge you to have a second look at my posts I have made over the past two years whilst I have a followed this division.

Hey calm down there EV.
Just putting in my tips and they happened to work out opposite to yours.
The little evil comment was just for shits and giggles.

Central united had a couple of players out injured, but did not rest anybody. They still had 29 to 8 scoring shots in the wet and mud!!

You suspect wrong. Nobody was deliberatly rested AFAIK
Angle Vale "A" Grade played a great game and thoroughly deserved the win today.

Angle Vale did play well however how can you gain any momentum as a side with an idiot umpire that openly cheats. I swear he heard voices in his head. Absolute disgrace he was!

we had a few out this week with injuries but modbury 1st half was very impressive ,but again helped by two idiots that wanted to be the main attraction, wearing orange doesnt give you the right to ruin a good game just for your own entertainment, that deaf bloke umpiring must have a new bionic ear as he seemed to hear things that both teams were thinking. bring on the weeks break ,after winning 12 in arow we need the rest.

Football is a cruel mistress!

Well done to SHOC yesterday their 3rd quarter was blistering and they thoroughly deserve their win. If you ask me they are going to cause some damage in this final series. Congrats to big Carroll who finally got his ton i'm sure he was a nervous man at half time with 0 next to his name.

I want to wish good luck to all the teams participating in this years finals.
There's still a few twists and turns left in this season yet.

My prediction: Central United v Glenunga GF.....but if you want a smokey swap Glenunga with SHOC.

Spot on PR. First off we did not deserve to win. Angle Vale certainly did. They played well, credit where its due.

However it was an absolute disgrace from one particular umpire who was most certainly cheating. We were not good enough clearly, but the umpire contributed massively to our mindset. We became afraid to tackle as it was always their free. Afraid to dive in and win the ball as it would be holding the ball. Everday handballs were called throws. An unbeleivable amount of free kicks against us at ruck contests. And the deliberate out of bounds......RIDICULOUS!

We are a very good side with the ball, and our deficiency would certainly be when we don't have it. That umpire made sure we didn't have it, that is for sure.

Thank god he won't be umpiring us in the finals. Our workrate however is something that only we can address, and must do so.

RTG I do love your insightful posts and yes I am the first to agree ML has gone backwards SLIGHTLY onfield due to a whole lot of various reasons but I can assure you off field the club is going ahead leaps and bounds....sometimes you have to take a step backwards to go forward.

I also think you have underestimated the quality of div 7 this season. I know because you guys made the GF in 09 you probably think if was the greatest div 7 comp ever but i can tell you this has been the most competitive div 7 comp i've seen in years and of a much better standard than last year.

Us, Flinders & Athelstone played finals last year and couldn't make it this year. 9 wins got you a finals berth in 09, we won 10 and still couldn't make it. Then you have North Pines and Ovies who left who no disrespect to them you could have penciled in 4 wins before the season even started and were replaced by 2 quality sides in TTG (playing finals) and Modbury (who even though finished 2nd bottom won 6 games). The 2 sides who came down from div 6 in Glenunga & Central United were never going to be easy beats which i'm pretty sure reflects on their ladder positions. So start giving the comp & other teams a bit of credit.

Did we (Mawsons) finish below MY expectations (which is all that matters)? Yeah we did but you live and learn....football is a cruel game but at the end of the day it is just that...a game. The club will move on and sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture and that picture still has a very bright future for MLFC!

 I'm no Master Coach mate...It's clear our depth isn't as good as what we want it to be, you seen in the 1st half of the year both our sides were sitting pretty in the top 5 however it became apparent when mass injuries occured and an increasing number of unavailabilites arised we just could not cover that quality in our A grade & obviously the B grade struggles also.

We've got some recruits teed up already for next season and the club has plans in place but yeah recruiting I think would be the no.1 priority for MLFC to take the next step. More numbers around the club creates pressure on guys to keep their spot in the team and therefore can change attitudes in certain individuals.
