I'll say it - yes was sacked.
I'll back Shrek up - yes GFC f**ked up 1st by getting rid of D.R but then by over looking potential coaches in their own backyard ie Newman.

Given the player's that left and players to work with, who ever coached was destined to fail..

Paul Manual our B grade coach will take the reins till seasons end. The club would like to thank Shane Gepp for the work done while at the helm.

obviously you don't have to answer this mate, but was this a club decision or the individuals decision?

I think the answer W12 is as nobody has definitively stated one way or the other, (except PG?) that if it was Shane's decision to leave Greenacres without notice, that there would have been a lot more posted on this forum than has been. As I said earlier having had spoken with him a few times he did not leave me with the impression he was the type of bloke who would "jump" ship midstream.....willingly. But..... I stand to be corrected if that indeed was the case.

I'm not sure why anyone ..either Shane or the GFC has to state anything except the fact that they have parted company.
Cobiha if you have more information than either the individual /club care to publicise then please feel free to share your views, but be carefull in what you say, because unless you have both parties views then your info may well be biased.

I was surprised by the news of Shane's departure given I had only spoken to him recently and I believed he was at the helm this week. My comments were in relation to hearing the news that it won't be the case. I do not have any information regarding the circumstances for his departure (and have stated that) or i have stated anywhere that either Shane or the GFC "have" to make a statement

Given that over the course of the season individuals of this forum that I can only assume have an association with Greenacres have had plenty to say on many wide ranging issues both intelligent and otherwise....... I would have thought an event such as a coach leaving mid season of his own volition might have prompted more widespread comment. I mean it is "news". I haven't made any accusations, I haven't "slagged" anyone, and this is a forum.
So no.......I don't think I'll be careful because I haven't expressed any bias just offered an opinion upon observations and some conversations that I have been privy to.

Just finished playing U16's and is currently training with the 18's at Norwood. Will no doubt get a go soon. Must be some pretty good talent in the 18's for him not to get picked. Kid can play. We're more than happy to have him while we can

Improvers:
Brahma Lodge. Things looked ugly after rd 1. Should play finals
Plympton. They were a good side last year but have improved to become a top 2 team

Underachievers:
Pultney. No Perrie, No Pultney

Predictions:
Top 4 to stay as it is. Maybe the order will change.
Bottom 2 to stay as it is.
Scudds to kick 100 (including finals)

Medal Winner: Who the hell knows how the umpires will vote.

WUB the thing I have noticed is(and not trying to be controversial)but have been very disappointed in Div 4. Take the top 2 or 3 out and I think it was harder to win games in Div 5 in 2012.
big improvers -Plympton/ Brahmas
underachievers- CBCOC (coming down from Div 3,would be shattered where they are at the moment)

Finally to Greenacres, in dissaray and sacking a coach that was having to spend more time sorting out the club, before he even got the chance to improve a group that he inherited, after all the fly by nighters had packed up and moved onto to $$$$$$ pastures.
The dragons wonder why quality coaches don't apply for their job,perhaps the people running the club need to look at their role first,and get that right.
Yes before anyone jumps down my throat I am a Shane Gepp fan and believe he had plenty to offer Greenies
