Every game could go either way

Can North Pines knock off gullies?

Id back flinders park to beat angle vale normally but the travel out to gawler could set the reds asleep?

Is this the week flinders uni will score their first win? They make great plays but if they just crunched the opposition and not let them prance around the crabs would be much more fearsome (its not touch footy boys)

The sharks at modbury hmmm? What page in the street directory?

And Shocs Id never write off especially in the southern derby, could their cream of recent years finally rise in 2012 to knock the lions off at sacred heights?

Is it really that hard a round Marbles?

Surely Mitchell Park will be far too good for a SHOC team that is struggling.
Smithfield should be confident of knocking of the crabs too notch up their second win.
With Fairclough starting to rack up big numbers your Sharks will get the win.
Gullies class to really show this week and be to strong for the Pines lads.
The Owls to return to winning form with a win out North.

Well thats how a neutral person may see it

Pines will beat Gullies

& Flinders Parks will beat Angle Vale

& Flinders Uni will beat Smithfield

...yes you heard it here first...

The few players that scene head clash on the weekend asked how is the player doing. Hope it was only concussion not anything to serious.

Thanks for you concern BPwizard. Firstly let me say that the clash was completely in the nature of footy and he was clearly in trouble as he didn't move for 3 or 4 minutes. To their credit the first 2 people on the scene were Angle Vale boys, so thanks lads. Did have to edit some of this as we have just had conformation that he will have surgery to insert plates to a broken jaw today. As a strong member of our midfield he will be missed, that's 3 mids out now so at least it will give us an opportunity to develop our rotations and a chance also for our opposition to get at us. :D

Again too much bulldust has been spoken on this forum about things that should be taken up privately. Dee man has it right, teach your players to play in the spirit and rules of the game. Div 7 is a great comp so let's keep it that way.

TTG over Nth Pines
Angle Vale over Flinders Pk
Henley over Modbury(depending on where they play??????)
Smithfield over Flinders Uni
MP over Shoc

Just my tips on what I see.

havent heard that mate, the lads trained on it on Tuesday night. I know they have cut back the Jnr trainings on it over the past few weeks. But still very tough to keep it in good nick with 30odd teams and 1 oval.

Whilst we are talking about ovals, how is TTG's oval holding up?

The middle was a bit of a mud patch on the weekend Bigshow, but the rest of the oval was actually pretty good considering the amount of rain.

Haven't checked it out this week yet, but will see what it's like tonight.

No worries. I have not been to TTG for years. I am expecting the middle to be a bog as all grounds with turf pitches would be by now. Do you guys move the centre circle sideways to get away from the mud or is most the centre square mud anyway?

Yeah Perti is in pretty good nick considering what it can be like. Only the cricket pitch is muddy and the centre circle is on the side of the square

They have improved the drainage recently, which seems to be working really well. Much better than it has been in previous years.

Performances this year havn't shown that. They probably think they're that good, maybe theyre not. Modbury were good against Henley in rd 3, but seem to have fallen away a bit.

true. my theory is that training intensity makes a player and the distance he can cover, not his ability

Is that why you are parking Sammy on the goal line now marbles, so he doesn't have to run. :D P.S if your top 7 or 8 players are in the top 25 in Div 7 that doesn't leave much for MP, TTG, North Pines, Angle Vale, Flinders Pk etc, etc, etc. Reckon those 5 teams have at least 4 each, that's 20 the last time I did maths. Leaves you with 4, perhaps wait until you have played them all twice before you rate you squad.

You're always good for a laugh marbles. Sammy plays where he wants to, cos he can. Back pocket and kicks 7. If you had the top 20 in the comp you would be on top. Good luck in the Modbury mud tomorrow. Maybe sammy might be able to sludge through it from the back pocket and kick another 7.
