Surely one of the assistants would step-up - Rohan Smith, Foster or Obst ???

Forget about Scotty, he couldn't coach his finger out his arse! The man that needs to be in charge is Hosie!

Rohan Smith is footy director not an assistant, Foster coaches U/18 and i think Obst will leave, only came beacuse of Roger.

Will be interesting. I thought they would have waited till the end of the year to see whos available

Alfy Steeds name has been thrown around for the job. Does anyone know if he has applied? Simon Peucker has retired also has he shown any interest in the job?

Rohan coached them 5-6 years ago for 2 or 3 seasons. He was replaced with Garry Tredrea.

I forgot that. Steedy would be a good coach, IMO.

Geppies A's, B's and Under 18's all into the prelim finals. Regardless of what happens from now it's been a remarkable turn-around from mid-season.
Roey has brought real focus and spirit to the Rams.
Plenty of outstanding juniors waiting in the wings, too.

wouldnt say Henley beaten easy. was at the game and the sharks lead by 4 goals for most of the 1st half. gepps missed some easy goals just before half time to go in to the break about 20 pts down. half way thru the 3rd 1/4 the rams went crazy and kicked 12 out of the next 14 goals. At 3 1/4 time sharks looked spent. Number 4 who played at CHF was outstanding for Gepps (looks like Nick Gill) Should be cracker next week salis nth v gepps a battle of the pokies

henley v gepps ; henley very physical first up [ did they really have to do it ?]. Hen played the better footy first up,very good in close, good disposal by hand and foot, despite very tight , tough footy by both sides.bad shots on goal by GX did not put pressure on Hen. #18 for H did not help them either, missed a couple of set shots after strong grabs. 2nd qtr much the same Hen strong early . GX coming back later but not really finishing well. Henley looked the better team at 1/2 time. Hen started well, got about 4 clear, then GX started to play a bit better as a team [ P.Smith onto the ball? ] , got back in the game and just up at 3/4 time. last 1/4 virtually one way traffic . very good game, good skills, well played by both sides. Capt, your last 'big' recruit played a very good game , not "outstanding" but a very good team game.

Henley out of the block quick today. gave Gepps something to worry about but as soon as Gepps thrust Smith in the midfield it changed things big time, Gepps started to win the centre clearances & gave their tall fwds first option & they didn't let their team mates down by marking & kicking truely, turning a 4 goal deficit into a 11pt lead at 3qtr time, they then went on with it & outscored Henley, final score Gepps 17.13 to Henley 11.13.
Interesting to see Inkster starting after not training & watching him through the warm up, he never looked like he was fit, coming off qtr time with a hamstring ( thats what you get playing unfit blokes )
Henley would be devastated going out in straight sets after paying the $$$ they did pre-season to win the flag, i think its shown alot to other sides in the comp, (you can't buy a flag)
The only side that can take it up to Goody's on a fine day after today is Gepps Cross, they have the talls to combat Goodwood & the mids to match, i honestly thought Salis Nth had what it takes but now realise they havn't the height to match the sides like Goodwood & Gepps.
I believe the GF will be against Goodies & Gepps.
