Underestimate at your peril. We have at least 4 big name recruits, and i know that doesn't make a side but we will be competitive against all sides.
Wait and see after the first few rounds, actions speak louder than words.

until proven got to cop what you get after a bad year last year
Nobody said Underestimating
someone has to be bottom or there abouts
people predicting your club
Who cares

Guess that applies to BL aswell?

Not really
they have advertised all their pick ups (last 700 pages)
obviously for div 6 thats some good personel

But glenunga nothing been said apart from 4 "big" signings
well without naming anyone people can only go on what they Know
Thye also lost their best couple players havnt they?
Some like to say Arrogant, I like to say confident.

I think it was written on here that Apostolopoulos brothers and Puntureri have gone to Unley?? They are certainly 3 of their best 5 from last year

Have Paralowie picked up any new players or still basically have the same team as last years premiership side?

As I have read Glenunga may well have picked up 4 big signings, but judging on last years overall performance they would need every 1 of them and some more especially if they have lost any. Although they were competitive in some games last year, overall they were below par and more than 4 key signings may be needed to see them move higher up the ladder this year. Any game this year has the chance of an upset but the top 4 teams will be the teams that play more consistantly.

It does sound like Div 6 could be another very interesting one this year given how well some teams have recruited.

I would love to hear some of the names of people that have gone to Glenunga. I spoke to a previous BL payer who has gone to Glenunga at our trial and he also said they had recruited very well but once again didnt name anyone but then you hear about some poor numbers on the training track.

They're some of the names thrown around going back even late last year (December)

Not sure if I read it here (and I probably did) but those changerooms I hear have been officially condemed and are due to be knocked down.

lockleys seem to recruited some talented players
west croydon-good forwards
clg-could shake the top 2 teams
hectorville-always dangerous at home

paralowie-cant rely on holland every week imo will be competitive in most games
glenunga-struggle to worry any team.
cental united-just not enough talent

Interesting that alot of people have BL on top of their predictions, judging by some of their results last year, you would suspect they would need quite a few major ins. Its not easy to turn around some 20 goal defeats of last year. Same goes for West Croydon. Trinity played well last year in a few games and show they could easily become a top team, same as CLG, Hectorville and Lockleys. Glenunga, Mitchell Park and Central United will struggle somewhat but may be competitive in some games, and Paralowie is a unknown quantity. Wish all teams luck and hopefully the comp is very even this year.

Well sounds like BL do have major ins aswell as West Croydon so that pretty much explains itself.

These 2 teams suffered some major drummings last year, my point is how many recruits are needed to turn some of these major losses around??? Im sure they will be more competitive for sure but wouldn't expect these 2 teams to be flogging the top 4 off the park. Esp knowing some of the recruits some of the top teams have got as well as players they are still in negotiations with.

Im aware of some the drubbings as i was coach of 1 of them at the time. West Croydon have some premiership players back at the club and some others aswell without losing there reliable few so that tells me they will be more than competitive as for BL noone dares to write them off on the Brahma oops i mean Div6 forum.

Haha. Im sure they will both be more competitive this year and hope they are, they have some handy players. But I just got a score of 1 game last year Lockleys vs West Croydon, the score line read Lockleys 32 - 22 West Croydon 7 - 11. Lockleys only finished 5th last year as well. I know there were some other big scores kicked last year by CL Gardens and other top 4 teams against some of the other lower ranked teams. My point is to reverse big scores like these, when the top teams have recruited so well also, (but not to this web forums knowledge) that there would have to be some major recruits and lots of them to some of the teams this year. I just hope the comp is even which i'm sure by the looks of some of the comments it should be. Consistency will be the key to make the top 4.

I am trying erase the Lockleys game from my memory..... Should also be noted that Lockleys game was at Lockleys and they only lost 1 game there for the year to HV who were runner up so that can be a bit miss guiding too.

Lockleys have approx 4 outs (handy players but not key players). Approx 6 ins which include a mobile ruckman who has played reserves footy, 1-2 key fwds and another couple of players from country vic. I cannot comment to how good these guys are as I dont like to speculate, but looking at them on the track they look handy enough for div 6. Would expect the players in will cover the players out with interest. They are also talking to 3 A-grade players from the SFL which are very good friends with one of the Lockleys boys. If they were to sign these 3 players, they would be key ins for 2009. Overall I expect Lockleys to be stronger than last year. How much stronger is yet to be seen. Top 4 is there goal. Im sure the top 5 teams will be very competitive against each other, same as last year. I dont predict any 1 team will dominate this year. Consitency will be the key to play finals.
