That's disappointing! Is it true Angle Vale 'B' have forfeited too? Disappointing result for Lockleys - from 3 games to 1 :(

Does that mean the end for Hectorville? 4th forfeit for the season isn't it?

Yeah, AV's B's have forfeited and apparently they're playing some kids in the game tomorrow just so that those who are attending training get a game.

Interesting round of games coming up. Trinity v Lockleys will be very interesting - TOS could potentially take 2nd spot from Ingle Farm or Lockleys could sew up the minor premiership. A TOS win would also leave the door ajar for Ingle Farm to still have a crack at top spot, but they would need to get over the dangerous looking Mawson Lakes away first.

Glenunga with a shock win over Rosewater keeps their faint finals hopes alive - playing 3 teams below them in the coming weeks, but would need results to go their way and upset either Ingle Farm or TOS in the last rounds.

trinity seem to be the team with all the momentum at the moment should be a cracker of a game this week,as for mawson lakes building a formidable side injuries to the as and bs are really hurting them at the minute.

No Kriegy will be a test for Trinity for the remainder of the season

The remainder of the season? Injured? That's a massive blow!

Round 14:
Hectorville v Para Hills - Battle for pride between these two sides, Para Hills also with an opportunity to leap frog Modbury into 7th place. Will Heccies have a side tomorrow though? Haven't played since their close loss to Lakes in Round 11.

Mawson Lakes v Ingle Farm - Mawson Lakes forfeit means Ingle Farm maintain their 1 game gap on 3rd place TOS. Lakes being 2 games clear inside the 5 have some breathing space. Hopefully they can recover after this week and bounce back.

Pooraka v Glenunga - I wrote off Glenunga last week, and was proven wrong. Pooraka have struggled this season for wins but have been largely competitive. This will not be a walk in the park for Glenunga, but if they fair dinkum want to have a crack at playing finals they'll turn up ready to play tomorrow. Before this round, they had over 5% they needed to make up on 5th place Mawson Lakes. With the forfeit from Lakes, that difference drops significantly to 3.25%. 3 games now that on paper should be wins, they need to put a couple sides to the sword. A winning margin of around 100 points would see the % gap gone.

Rosewater v Modbury - Rosewater have a golden opportunity to press 2 games clear of 5th spot, and keep their hopes of a double chance alive, can't see Modbury managing to respond as they limp towards the end of the season.

Trinity v Lockleys - Cracking contest this is shaping up to be. TOS will be fighting hard to steal 2nd spot off Ingle Farm by seasons end, Lockleys will be looking to lock up the minor flag. No Krieg hurts TOS, but playing home on the smaller ground should work to their advantage. I'll be cheering for a TOS win to keep the glimmer of hope alive for Ingle Farm to finish top :D

strange move by mawson lakes my understanding is it is not from a lack of players.

Looking over the sides named in the A & B grade I find that hard to believe - plenty of blokes playing up grades.

What's the word on Mawson Lakes this week? Will they have a team or will Lockleys have their second forfeit in 3 weeks?

Don't know how accurate, but the rumour floating around was Mawson Lakes had a side full of ring ins ready to go last weekend, but on paper the C grade looked stronger than the B grade & these players wouldn't go higher, so the club decided it was in the clubs best interest to not field the side.

As I said don't know the accuracy of that though. I would expect them to field a side this week - they are sitting in the 5 after all.

Lockleys has now copped a second forfeit in 3 weeks. Not good preparation for finals unless we're practising for to get the rythym of having the first week off.

That's unfortunate! If it makes you feel any better, Ingle Farm had a similar draw so also had 2 forfeits in 3 weeks! Not ideal preparation, but I guess it gives blokes a chance to recover and rest up.

We will know later this morning if the lack of games has had much impact on our C grades season after they tackle Rosewater.
