Make it categorical. No ifs, no special rules, no maybes or grey areas, no "we wont be as strong next year".
You finish in the bottom two. You're going down. Make the GF, you're going up. That should be the end of it really.

Yes you are right X Runna, NAILED. You know in the cold heart light of day I just hope everyone understands just how good TTG were in 2012. Beaten by a very good A grade club yes, but a super team and they should be forced to go up because if they all came back in 2013 they would also be a very very good team in Div 6. If they take the now infamous Shoc option and all decided to come back again in March then look out Div 7.

I think that Morell is probably right, that things would be easier if they just took away the option and if a c grade club goes up and loses all their players, then they need to suffer a year of losses before dropping back down again.
saying that, i don't think any club would choose to go up when it's team is uncertain and they could possibly suffer a year of humiliating defeats when the alternative is to stay down and worst case scenario is your competitive, best case scenario is that you maintain existing team and are successful again.

Any word if there is a change in the coaching there or if they discussed staying in div 7 or moving down to div 8?
you would think going to div 8 would make it much harder to attract players and any sponsorship?

close but D6 will be an 8 team comp and run over 21 weeks so everyone plays each othe 3 times, as Uni will drop to D7
