Another good win for Ovingham today.. After being up by only 2 points at half time went on to kick 6 unanswered in the third to win comfortably.. Now just steadying for the big one next weeek at the cattery.. Up you cats..

Went and watched ovies beat PHOS heard it was 2nd vs 3rd,ovies with 5 starting players out looked good once they started playing footy, they got sucked in early by responding to PHOS dirty tricks number 4 and 7 should have been reported. No contest after half time,if ovies kicked straight they would have won by more.Cooke best then ryan and Richo,Klompy kicked another 6 wonder if he will kick 100 too years in arow, think that took him to 70 will find out at work monday i didnt think he would play sick as a dog all week .Final score 11:15 to 5:6

They did play unreg players.. I spoke to a wingfield player tonight and he named them.. Will be interesting during the week.. Lets get real here though, neither will play finals so who gives a fat ratsy...

I think Kimothy needs to hardin up abit, his a bit of a blouse if you know what im saying.. And needs to decide his kicking range.. I have seen him fail to make the distance from 40 then boot one from 50.. work that out..

Yer your right about Klompys kicking its a bit of a worry some times but when its on its on seen him kick 14:1 one game and not hit a barn the next week, think that not training doesnt help.Have noticed with Chris Newmans sides that they must all have had gun onballers. In 06 at gepps Payne kicked over a hundred and they won the flag, last year Klompy kicked over a hundred and they won the flag, and this year Klompys on track for another hundred and ovies are sitting 2nd so must be a chance. Is it the same onballers that have follow this Newman coach?

couldn't believe pines lost when i checked the saafl website, the got smashed too  Didn't get a chance to get down there, luckily. They have lost four quality players for the rest of the year so may struggle to make finals now, even though they were 2 wins clear in 5th spot a week ago. Very dodgy of wingfield to play unregistered players, they must have been good players, coz wingfield were very ordinary last time.

pretty sure no one getting paid at pines. They dont even have the cash to pay fees to amatuer league, mostly due to the fact they dont actually have one sponsor. only money coming in is over the bar.

lol, thats the klompy I know.. Funny guy though.. The mid fielders that have come through from Gepps are Aaron 'Boonga' Cooke, Sam 'Spogaluciano' Allcock, Matthew 'Winnie' Newman, Michael O'Brien, Joshua 'Sneezed into a tin of milo' Murphy and occasionally Matty 'Gazelle' Laird.. All have give good delivery.. But this year Ryno 'Licka' Wielechowski has been the real rock in the middle.
The best thing about Payney is he is such a moderate bloke and never once took credit for his achievement and put it down to midfield work that got him there.. And Klompy is just a big bad mean machine who even crumbs as I seen on the weekend.. I even seen him handball one day... I fainted..

Klompy told me that Chris has gun onballers thats why he played for Chris again after they looked after him last year and got him his ton.He jokes around abit but would also be the first to say theres no i in team and hes only as good as the blokes up field always handy have a good midfield to kick to a good forward

so have Unis fallen away or what? they don't seem to be playing as well in the last few weeks as what they were early... since their loss to Modbury they have dropped off the boil a bit...

PNU shouldn't have gotten that close really if Unis are a finals contender....

the past two weeks for PNU were R10 Ovies by 129, R11 PHOS by 119...

is this a case of higher grade injuries?

I honestly do not rate Adelaide Uni.. I think Modbury and the mighty cats just had off days. I mean the Cats gave away a 8 goal lead in the 3rd quarter.. The thing about Uni is they play a consistent style of football all day.. They dont lift nor die.. They just go along at the same rate.. If a side falls asleep late in a game or quarter Uni will give them a shake down..

Note: Round 3 Uni 9.15.69 def Payneham 7.8.50

Ovies to win the flag

Postby 04 Premiership Coach » Tue Jul 08, 2008 4:55 pm

Klompy seems to be on fire again.Should kick another hundred.I coached Ryan Wielechowski in 04 and he's a gun. They might as well send the medal out to him now.I hear Bazza Bennett is doing a top job leading the defense as well.Looks like another flag coming for the Ovies.Hate to say I told you so Rupert my boy,but I did.

yeh, I think Rhyno sealed the medal about round 6.. Yeh, Bazz is the captain of the ship down back... I sometimes think he has ADHA cos he never shuts the f*ck.. Which is obviously a good thing though.. We at the Cats still havent hit the form we'd like. It doesnt help when we're having to chop and change every week like we do though.. Big squad to choose from.
