It is used to fine players for doing dumb stuff. All proceeds go towards the footy trip. And because the spectator has 2 sons playing, they both copped fines

Kids being punished for the sins of the father........ think there would be some who would tell the "Fines Group" to Golf Foxtrot....

Don't contribute to the fines kitty then don't go on footy trip. Simple as that.

Nothing shits me more than blokes who refuse to contribute to such fundraisers but come the end of the season are the first in line to enjoy the benefits of raised funds

How about you Golf Foxtrot ??
It's a bit of fun. We don't go neck ourselves when we get fined. It's a laugh. Learn how to...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

seems like a joke to only get 1 game when this player has previous convictions and the other guy who got done for a head butt got of pretty soft as well heard all this talk about the league being tuff this year started out good and after this round is total joke

abuse of an umpire got more games then some of the crap that got less

I didn't realise you were there to see the incident Robb?

Im a bit confused. I thought the original report was for striking but i see he has been done for undue rough play?
Precedent has been set now....all late hip and shoulders of low impact and not high must carry a one week penalty. I hope they are consistent across the whole league with this.

Sorry, im not quite sure what your getting at. I dont intend for that too be inflammatory
The league seems to be using the points based system adopted by the AFL.
If each case is assessed via that system, the penalties are calculated accordingly aren't they?
The penalty received is reflective of what the system determines. Is your gripe with the individuals on the tribunal being inconsistent or the system they use to determine penalties?

Charges can be downgraded with new evidence - clearly they saw the footage didn't warrant trying to impose a charge of striking but thought there was still a case to answer for rough play. He probably got one because he's Wednesday night regular. Can't be innocent all the time Burra boys ;)

Not sure why you're bitching for, our bloke got more :?

No not bitching.
Just confused
I was unaware that they could change the charge. Am now enlightened. Undue Rough Play was a more appropriate description of incident and am satisfied with the outcome. Obviously prefer to have the big fella on the park this week.

I wouldve preferred an extra week for him myself ;)

But from the report DV gave me, it was a soft red card, so was never expecting too much of a sentence anyway.

Very soft red card.

Plympton played very well that day and deserved their win. But with only 1 point being the difference, you wonder 'what if' considering how soft the card was.

Oh well, we move on.
