Wow. Ok.

North Pines have ditched the wet sail and have fired up the outboard motor it seems.

To roll one of the top 2 sides in the comp by 40 odd points on their home deck would have to make them a genuine promotion chance.

North Pines have some real talent that could easily play at much higher levels, as do other teams in the div. Got a lot of talented indigenous lads.

They were most impressive on Saturday AKA. And arguably their best Willie Sansbury didn't play

I've seen some debate on the Div 5 thread but who's game to do a Div 7 Team of the Year?

I've given it a crack, have tried as best as I can to get blokes from every side in but I tell you what it's bloody hard...no doubt missed some blokes and have got some guys out of position but here you go

FF: Todd Mackereth (NP), Cameron Carroll (SHOC), Ivan Novosel (ML)
HF: Matt Robertson (NP), Luke McDonell (MP), Andrew Matthews (AV)
C: Jarrod Gordon (AV), Rob O’Gorman (ML), Justin Kurenda (SHOC)
HB: Derek Newchurch (NP), Shane Stanley (ML), David Floreani (SHOC)
FB: Troy Potuszynski (MP), Grant Williams (TTG), Nathan Bruce-Gordon (ML)

Foll: Scott Burgess (AV), Damien Victor (NP), Brenton Reidy (ML)

Bench: Glen Mount (TTG), Dion Gregory (FU), Michael Gollan (AV), Anthony May (MP)

Unlucky: Pete Uncle (TTG), Steven Marks (NP), Alex Beaton (Athel), Matthew Ralph (ML), Michael Quirke (SHOC), Willie Sansbury (NP)

Milly that girl sings like a cat with a golf ball stuck down it's throat! That song is terrible and she's hideous!

Looks like North Pines have thrown down the challenge to SHOC. Haven't beaten SHOC and they won't this year.

Really good crack at it mate, can't fault it in any serious way. Potters doesn't really play back there but I understand it's hard to fit in all the midfielders.

I would also add in Adam Hay and Craig Rayson as unlucky to miss out on a defensive post. Matthew Davidson was probably our best player earlier in the year before his knee started getting to him as well.

Oh...

And Brad Steele.

Didn't Potuszynski start the year at CHB Morell? I reckon he played there for a bit against us the first time around.

Probably a few SHOC defenders may lay claim to some positions in the back 6 but wouldn't know which ones, they all look the same plus they change their guernsey numbers all the time :?

Not being biased at all but Shane Stanley I think is out and out the best CHF in the comp but has maybe missed a few too many games now, on the other hand he does do an exceptional job at CHB also when he has had to go there....our regular CHB young Duncan Brown in his first year of senior football has also been brilliant and hasn't been beaten all year.

Polky has been great for us this season TT. Has missed a couple through injury, but has dominated a couple of matches (kicked 9 one week) and would be in out Top 10 for the B&F, but he along with Kennett, Ralph, Duncan and Smits I couldn't squeeze in (would like to have!). Rob O'Gorman and Brenton Reidy have been clearly our best this season while Stanley was on fire early in the season for us, Novosel has been good again this year off a flank and Bruce-Gordon has been rejuvenated as a small defender. This is the 3rd year I've picked a side and it's arguably the strongest I've done.

With TTG now outside the top 5 and needing to win their last 2 games to make the finals could we see some players dropping down from Div 1 due to 'form' and perhaps even Sean Chambers coming back out in order to get them to qualify? I know if I was in charge down there that's what I'd be doing, especially considering the higher grade teams are no chance of playing in the major round.

He is a bit Adam Goodes-ish in that he could play anywhere and often does, but I would reckon he spends >70% of his time moving through the midfield.

He has dropped back to fill a hole and provide rebound on occasion though - usually when we're under pressure.

Also seen him named at Full Forward!

They dropped a few against us from D1R and to be quite frank, they didn't really provide anything over and above the guys that normally play C's.

Unless Pitt and Wicks turn up in their C Grade I think TTG will miss out.

They've played Chambers this season, they might again and he'll be very useful at this level.
