I fancy portland with Lipson back in, though have plenty of respect for The Ramblers.

if there was a 'either side under 15.5' bet, i reckon I'd have the house on it - sure to be a close one!

Anyone think Seaton can knock them off?

only the top off themselves maybe ;)

It will be a cracker game though. Yuo can never tell at the start of any year how big a certain game will be. Wouldnt it be great if a game like taht could be oplayed on a Sunday? A lot of variables with other commitmenst and so on, but it would be good. The same would be said about any of the higher placed sides like Flinders and Smosh or Seaton in that mix.

I wonder whether Marshall will be involved in any undiscipline acts like last year at Portland that ended up costing Seaton the game?
I'm sure he'll be involved in something!!!

There is no Justin Bieber concert this week so look forward to seeing if a certain someone makes it out to training this week so he can start on the field ;)

You must have been especially proud of the hero who ran up behind an injured CBC player and gave him a smack across the head before running off like a scared little girl. Almost as brave as the bloke who said nothing when Jarman walked straight past him after the game but then unloaded a verbal tirade on him after he had gone into the change rooms. They really breed them tough up Para Hills way....

Injured? just got the ball in his face.. Not mention it was a little love tap.. Heroes I'd say the CBC Dolphins that all day long tried to take out a 70kg 37 year old & failed as he racked up 30+ touches. Even after 1 held him back 100m off the ball in front of CBC box as super coach Jarman gave him a mouthful? Or the one that had a crack at launching him into next week with an elbow over the boundary line 2 secs after hand balling off? What about Jarman punching the coaches box as PH got 1 of it's 7 free's for the day?? I must say CBC ruck man should've been in the votes he was brilliant.. great tap ruck man

my mistake - listen up everybody red strip roo has decreed that hitting a player across the head from behind during a game is OK (as long as it is a "love tap"), mis-timing a bump on a player with possession of the ball by 2 seconds (outlawed), a coach showing his frustration at giving away a free kick (outlawed) and poor, defenceless coaches boxes are not to be touched. Furthermore, Para Hills should be paid a minimum number of free kicks during the game otherwise their supporters may get upset. Is everybody now clear on the amended rules of the game?

Neither Thach or bamford kicked a goal or were in the best players........... I think those blokes are going to get targeted a lot this year mate especially if u r winning. I thought they had little impact thach late in the game did some good things. Some of Bamfords kick ins were great piercing the zone but 30+ touches in a back pocket isnt going to kill sides.

Alby is a gun and fierce competitor. U blokes played Pembroke? Now they have a good ruck department! Cant b bothered looking up his name but their big bloke took it to Alby (our ruckman).

Fraser pinkney, and theres another lurch who plays for them and is pretty good. Margitich would have all the Ruckman in the competition covered i think - he always kills us.

Turbo: Yeah we are very lucky to have Alby. Dont think he originally had intentions of staying around for as long as he has, with quality ruckman being a dime a dozen, he turns down some very attractive offers each year. Bit of white line fever for the big fella as well.

Also be careful parking around the oval this weekend i have some inside knowledge the council will be patrolling this weekend. Try and stick to wakefield and pire.

East terrace also. Parking officers will only go there if the park ranger complains and they don't like the hassle. They have better things to do than go there and get abused

Ha yeah the big fella lost the plot against us a few years back in a relegatrion year for you guys, but hes a bloody good ruckman - a very good contested mark.

And cheers for that - will have to get there early to snag a decent park on the road.

Missed time bump, your a laugh wild thing. I'd say sniper. In my opinion i would thought that a coach would set the example
but if i'm wrong & it's good for you to belt the 5hit out of it well we'll do it every week... free kicks all i said was didnt get many as compared to CBC.. that was all, get a grip you sound like the CBC team manager.

Every club and some players get that unwanted name tag. Some more due with it than others.

We as a club dont judge a players performance by how many goals they kick or if they get their name in the sunday mail. Like i said, i dont think there were any standout players on the weekend (but i forgot about the CBC ruckmans dominance until now)
I agree Bangers and Thachy didnt dominate the entire game for us, but feelt as if they beat their opponents comfortably and each played a major part in the win.
We have seen Pinkney, Perkins and Margatich in the last 3 games and yet too play against Ohara. Some quality Div 3 ruckman floating around..

Who picks the names to go in the paper and SAAFL website? Isnt that your best players :? ? Surely if a bloke has his name first in the paper the club judged his performance to b great. If a bloke plays terrible and doesnt get a kick he wont wake up sunday morning to his name listed in the best players.

Early on in the season it pays to put false best players in the paper, keep your trump cards close to your chest.
