We did have one side beat the other by 48 goals too and are shattered that we will not benefit from this percentage as a result.

that's a fair thing to do LB.

it's been a while since BOS and WOS played off for the cup and from memory last time it was at Westminster School in '08 (?) and we were soundly beaten. looking forward to a couple of good games this weekend.

If it was at the school, it would have been the second half of '08 when we were really rolling on the way to the flag.

I think it will be a much more even contest this week. Can't wait. They're always good games.

It was and one of the biggest losses to date for BOS, not a very pleasent day that one.
On a brighter note who ever won the first meeting between the two always went on to win the flag 8)

morell wrote:So I had an epiphany. I am going to assume piglet here has been snuffling around in the poo ridden cess pit that is the SAAFL "Memes" Facebook page.

If you take anything written on that page seriously or think it has even the smallest amount of bearing on what happens on Saturdays then you need to have your head read.

Firstly, they aren't memes. Putting stupid white text on a picture of someone doesn't make it a meme. Get a lesson in internet culture FFS. When you get that lesson maybe think about actually being funny because 99% of the stuff on there wouldn't make a 6 year old high on red cordial giggle.

Secondly, its designed to be a page which promotes animosity and shit stirring amongst the clubs. So if any of the Rosie boys are butthurt about what anyone said on there than they need to realise the context behind what was said.

Thirdly, the person that did make a comment on that page about Rosewater has never played an A Grade game for the MPFC, last played I think 3 years ago and has really not much to do with the club other than being a supporter and brother of one our better players.

Fourthly, a person who does have a lot to do with out club, our player/coach Mark Harrison, told the individual to pull his head in within minutes.

So really. The Rosie boys that are seemingly fired up because we slagged their club would be better off focussing on the football as in reality it didn't happen. Which I am sure they will be as Bradman very apply pointed out. We have the utmost respect for Rosies and probably think they are the team to beat this year.

Looking forward to Thursday.

Had a nice chat with the coach yesterday morell, he asked if there was anyway I could shut you up and stop giving away secrets on here........... I said phttttt, good luck with that one. He is now reading all your posts.

haha I am but a humble servant of the club. If Harro wants me to stop posting I will create an alias and keep posting

I haven't revealed any secrets have I? At least I don't think I have. Everyone on here keeps telling me that I don't reveal enough and that I am being untruthful?

In regards to the post you quoted, I will admit to it being an annoyance of mine. If I think the club is being digitally misrepresented then I get my virtual hackles up and post accordingly. I guess its a bit of - there aren't many at the club with either the access, time or know how to do so, ergo I take it upon myself. I encourage anyone from the MPFC to create an account and get posting!

If Harry is reading this then I hope he picked these up as well:

Hahaha. You gave one away that he is pissed with, go back a few. All he said was, gee you talk some dribble on here. Yes mate you represent the many that don't have this access, but sometimes the place needs a few aces. Me, I love your club passion and keep talking the place up and maybe not worry too much about past history. Not that you said it, but most MP people don't even know who Rosewater are. The current group anyway. Look forward to seeing the results from Thursday, a great great day to represent your footy club, no matter who you are affiliated with. Go you ANZACS.

Hmm OK, I will have a chat with him. Assuming you mean the Ruckman one? Unfortunately that was never a secret. Was well known before I posted. Don't worry, there are still plenty of aces. ;)

That is the thing in this digital age. With the combination of the SAAFL clearance pages, Other league clearance pages, digital team sheets, Sporting Pulse statistics, Facebook and club web sites, you cant hide anything anymore. Knowing who is who in the zoo is only a few clicks and a bit of nous away. Just look at zedman, he knew who all of our recruits were before we did just about.

As for talking dribble, yeah cant deny that, helps the long and stressful days at work. Not that much difference to talking shit at the bar over a few frothies really. Just a different medium.

hahaha, would take a lot more than that mate! I am a long way away from an A Grade birth, if I get one at all.

Happy playing in the magoos for now as that is where I am needed, good blokes in that side and I get to enjoy the rest of the day watching the A's.

Props to Rosewater President John Reardon and all the players of which there were 40+ who attended the dawn service at the Port Adelaide Naval Association. For many veterans it was pleasing to see a Club which has proud traditions itself, showing due respect to a tradition whereby we all acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of a nation......I'm sure pride and purpose will follow them in their match with the young men of Mitchell Park today.

They'll be ready for a nap by Game time. The players were all there at the instigation of coach Horsell and to pay some respect to our trainer and ex-Navy man Laurie Marshall and his colleagues. But you are right it was good to see and they should be congratulated.

Well done to Horse and the people at Rosies today. You are definately the team to beat this year. Really proud of the the Parkies, the club has come a long way in such a short time. Heads up people. :D Doesn't the last post just chill the spine. Thanx to every man, woman and child that has fought for our great country to give us the life we enjoy. Lest we forget.

For those that knock me, let me paint a picture, a true Anzac Day scenario.

MPFC were a troop diminished. They were lost and the soldiers were hiding. They summoned a General, a massive call when they needed on ground people. The General was full of confidence but knew he needed support. He looked outside the square and brought in a Captain, then a Sargeant, a Corporal and then ground crew. Goodness, no troops just yet. The Corporal had many friends, so he enlisted some 20 odd to join the Army. The Captain knew many of the previous deserters who had character and pleaded that they come back, under his terms. The Sargeant was mean as cat S.......t, a true Sarge. An Army was forming, maybe not a superpower, but an Army. In the end they won their first battle, Div 7 2012, but now the real Army, the next step, you take every day as it comes, and I don't care where you are from, and what you represent. BUT, today, represent AUSTRALIA, cos that is what we are, AUSSIES. Do what you can to be the the best YOU can, no one is more important than YOU.

Then the army moved to div 6 2013, the general abandoned his troops for greener pastures, the loyal soldiers retired and the privates were promoted.

The army realised opposition defence forces were better and complained about other defence forces gettin better benefits and entitlements after being subjected to 4 extra quarters of war games against cadets of ttg.. now the army is waving the white flag "we want love & peace not war.."
