$20 to take someone out? Sounds pretty stupid AND cheap lol geez! .. i'd want at least $30 and a 6 pack :P

Will be interesting to read The Warriors match review.

I wasnt at the game heard our young fellas did well. But it is a worry for ML that our undermanned C grade can beat the team that most people tipped for the Flag and their form of late.

Could their form be a result of Kim's calender performance?

Modbury played very well never gave up and played some good attacking football. Having 2 of our key players go down early in the 1st quarter for the whole game made it tough for us to make any rotations considering all we had was a resting ruckman on the pine, we ran out of legs in the end. Yes umpiring was sub-standard yet again (someone please tell these guys to stop watching AFL) but neither them or being restricted on the bench had anything to do with our loss Modbury would have won regardless.

Credit to Scotty Hewett he got those lads fired up & they took it right to us. Footy Smart is right they were very undermanned and that is the frustrating part about it and it is 2 points we let slip & may come back to bite us!

If i knew what was going on with us at the moment I'd tell ya...Yes we have some key personal out but still think the team we're putting out is good enough. We've only got ourselves to blame for the predicament we're in and it's up to us to get ourselves out of it. Hopefully it starts this week with Glenunga.

I expected an easy win for you blokes when looking at our team, however i knew that the lads would have a crack the whole game and have done so all year.

Skittles in his first year as coach has done very well in a tough spot. The side has lost alot of experience from last year and gone up to a competative standard, playing against clubs A grades like ML and to be able to compete as they have done is a credit to him and the team.

Modbury are definitely a better team then their position on the ladder suggests. They pushed Glenunga's A Grade side for 3 Quarters a few weeks ago. Except for the 9 goal last quarter for the Rams, it was neck and neck all day.

I'm also really impressed with TTG's recent results, I had them pegged for 5th or 6th but they are now sitting equal first.

Its definitely going to be an interesting 4 weeks.

What sort of odds would you place the sides at now for the flag?

Surely the units recent form would have seen them shorten and the the opposite with ML?

3/5. Just for Footy Smart here's the Warrior's Review.

Beautiful conditions greeted the Mawson Lakes Football Club as they headed to Modbury Oval which also was in good nick. Both sides had contradicting line ups to when the sides last met in Round 5, with the most notable absentee being Saints Medal fancy Rob O'Gorman.

With a strong breeze blowing to the city end, the Modbury Hawks had aid of it and veteran Gary Beveridge kicked the first goal after marking strongly.
The Hawks made the most of their opportunities in the 1st term, kicking 4 straight goals to set up a handy 18 point lead. The Saints lost CHF Mark Chilvers and onballer Steven Papayanis during this period which as to hinder the Saints efforts. However the Saints made good use of the wind in the 2nd term and with Ivan Novosel on target, hit the front by half time. With all the goals being kicked at one end, the youthful Hawks produced their best quater of footy and with Patrick Manuel dominating, broke the game open with a 7 goal term. A benchless Saints tried to reel in the margin, but it's inaccurate kicking compelled with a 19-5 free kick against in the 2nd half, failed to get back in front. For the Hawks Dalton Wegmann, Benjamin Eisner and Beveridge all finished with 3 majors, while Manuel was clearly their best in a performance that would have pleased their coach Scott Hewett. Mawson Lakes best was their skipper Lachlan Kennett in a team effort that was clearly uninspiring. Things don't get any easier this week as they take on current top team Glenunga at Thebarton Oval this week.

Footnote: As alluded by Footy Smart on an earlier post, one of Adelaide's finest looking ladies has been taken off the market, much to the sadness of all budding bachelors (and Riddler). Resident Mawson Lakes Football Club calendar girl Kim and her long term partner announce their engagement on the weekend. The MLFC would like to congratulate Kim and Adam and wish them all the best for their impending nuptials.

Cheers Warrior

It also imprortant to note that Patty Manuel still plays under 16s on Sunday. Monster kid with a monster kick, he can kick goals from the centre square at Modbury Oval.

 Nice one sobcu. It what world aren't the units one of the two flag favourites?!?!?

Since losing to TTG early in the year, they have beaten eight sides in a row. They are the form side of the competition and if they win this week against TTG, they will have won nine straight, during which, they would have beaten every team. If this happens, they will be the clear favourite for the Div7 flag in 2010.

This is their past 8 weeks
Angle Vale 12.13 85 lost to Central United 16.16 112
Central United 12.16 88 defeated Athelstone 11.6 72
Glenunga 10.12 72 lost to Central United 16.16 112
Mawson Lakes 6.4 40 lost to Central United 13.12 90
Central United 13.15 93 defeated Adelaide University 4.7 31
Central United 16.19 115 defeated Modbury 8.10 58
Sacred Heart OC 6.14 50 lost to Central United 10.17 77
Central United 29.17 191 defeated Flinders University 6.3 39
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.
