I don't what to keep going on about this TTG situation, however i think everybody is overlooking the important issues..... Do we keep our tips from those 2 rounds or are they going to be taken away from us. We could get down to the last round and somebody loses or wins by 1 point and i can see all hell breaking loose.... Can we have some answers please.

Jeez, its a pretty basic and fundamental process and seamless line of argument.

Having a week off is an good thing. I think most people can agree there. As per PG's excellently worded reasons as previously mentioned. You get to rest players, pick and choose how you want to prepare and spend your Saturday and maybe even do some scouting work on the opposition. Not to mention the hypothetical risk aversion of not playing a game entails.

MP and CLG get to do this once in season 2013. Every other side get to do it twice.

Ergo. MP and CLG have been dis-advantaged.

As I said, its a minor thing and not a big deal, but the argument is completely sound are you're all knuckle dragging bone headed stupid footballers.

If it comes finals time, and either side that had to play TTG and beat them by 47 goals, loses a tight battle, and they sit back and analyse the season, and point to the round 1 or 2 game as where it all went wrong, then i feel for them.. Otherwise why dont we move on and talk about whats to come this week, and the rest of the season..

Yeah, I can totally see how you got to this conclusion :

It’s clearly not ideal but no solution was going to be.
But hypotheticals are exactly that, no point worrying about things out of your control. Move on, head down, bum up.

No way Q. No way at all.

We lost one of our best midfielders in the TTG game. That injury simply would not have happened if we had the bye (even if we did train) and he would have suited up for WOS - which we lost by a kick and a bit.

Make no bones about it CLG and MP have been disadvantaged by this decision. Albeit moderately and its not that big of a deal, but we have been given the slightly more pointy end of the stick.

If you did have an early round bye, probably would have had a trial game or internal match. can still do some serious injuries in these games or even at training.

Personally speaking I reckon I go at about 50% in trials and at about 20% in internal trials. There is no way in hell I would put my body on the line (or the body of a team mate) and get desperate in those games.

For goodness sake I recall letting our full forward (I was playing full back) get on the end of a few in our internal trial to let him practice his goal kicking.

If we had the bye in round 1, Simper plays round 2. We were disadvantaged. To think otherwise is folly.

But big deal, bigger issues to worry about.

dunno how you can only go 50% when playing a trail.Everytime i stepped out was always 100%.To me was like aonther game of footy.Why go half hearted then you would cop injuries.

Story i heard is that one brother got dropped from the C grade and got the shits and has talked the other two too walk with him.

A 24 goal blow out at Uni oval today, Rosies just had winners all over the ground..

One blight on the game was a red card for a Uni bloke that hospitalised a young Rosies player, cant go into detail cos hes on report but I think the Uni bloke will see himself have a 6 week holiday.. Absolutely disgraceful act, very out of character for a Uni player, never had any problems like that with them in my time

Good start from rosewater can't remember the last time they were 3-0. Big Anzac day clash against Mitchell park Thursday though which I know a few boys are looking forward to it after the Mitchell park boys bagged the Rosie club in the off season. I know there's a few unhappy boys at rfc about these comments
