I'd be getting the engraver to warm up his Goodwood cursive again this year.

Goodwood are going along very nicely at this time of year. But wouldn't be getting too excited just yet, no premierships are won in May, but they do deserve favouritism atm.

I'm gonna do something that would appear to be stupid and pick gaza to win this week. Even though goodwood were pretty dominant over us on the weekend, the gaza record during the regular season has been pretty good over the saints in recent years. Disregarding finals of course, gaza seem to match up pretty well on them.
But I still class goodwood and henley as the 2 best sides by far, and even though there might be the odd upset here and there during the regular season, it'd be hard not to see them both playing off again in the big finale in September.

Was told something this arvo about a "possibility" for next Saturday.
I will say this, "if it comes to pass, you will be able to hear me screaming obscenities at someone at both Gawler & Noarlunga".

Word the other day from a Henley memeber is they are off to the World Cup but will return in time for a 3 or 4 games then finals. I think he mentioned they would be back in time to play our lads again, even though they pipped them the other week, would be nice to play them without certain players.

Kenny is going away on an around the world trip, back for round 16. Two other first choice players are going to the world cup and will be back a couple of rounds earlier again. On a side note great to see injured players Pitty and Wicks come into Henley after the game and have a beer despite the result, their injury and the weather. Good form.

You are correct, the info i got was the club asked Pearce to resign or be sacked at training tonight.
He replied " you can sack me " but ended up emailing the person & telling him "here is my resignation as requested by the club".
I thought other than Saturdays game Port Districts with the loss of so many experienced players pre-season were competitive for a very young side so far this year, actually 13 youngsters in the side on the weekend.
What does the club expect from these youngsters? their actually 2-3 years off of being a better side once these youngsters gain some much needed experience of Div1 football, the same thing applies with Pearce, he's a bloke that had them playing finals footy in A1 the year before something Gary Tredrea couldn't do with them but was he sacked? No coz he's Port Adelaide.
I must say If your not from Port you were always on a hiding to nothing Ricky.
I wonder how many players will leave there that Ricky's recruited?
I hope plenty, PM me boys if any of you are keen.

We ended up at districts saturday night and he was around the place, seemed to be rather happy, even gave about 15 blokes a ride to the palais in the back of his car.
Dont think to many will leave as from what a few of us heard, the players werent happy with him and a few were gonna leave if he kept coaching!
your right though NM, very young side that if the club could keep together would be good come a year or 2 in div 1.
