Greenacres V Golden Grove - The big rivals clash. Both sides are impressive and these games are always very close. I think Greenacres on their home turf can win this in a tight one. Greenacres by 3pts

Pulteney v Unley - Unley after a big first win came crashing back to earth. Pulteney are undefeated but probably have not been fully tested yet. Unley are better than last week though and will win. Unley by 20pts

Westminster v Salisbury West - A much improved effort from Salisbury West last week showed they can be competetive. Westminster went down to Fitzroy but were impressive in defeat. Westminster will be too good here and should win well. Westminster OS by 40pts

Fitzroy v Woodville South - Woody South have made a slow start to the season and need to win to stay in touch. Fitzroy will be looking to build on last weeks win away. Fitzroy will not want to lose their 2nd successive game at home and should have too much firepower up forward. Fitzroy by 30pts

Salisbury v Pooraka - Pooraka look to be one of the teams to beat with impressive wins over good opposition. Salisbury have started slowly and will find Pooraka tough. Pooraka by 18pts

Ok Round 3.

WOS we have to win at home or we will be also rans
Unley purely on there round one win. Dont under estimate Pultney
Greenies if they have there fwds up and running.
Pooraka team to beat
Fitzroys fwds need shutting down Cats need a win. Go the Cats on the theory that another loss and finals are out, so may be a little more desperate.

Had a stroll around Glandore Oval today OE. In very good nick. Very thick and lush out there so I wouldn't want to sail down teh wing and try have a bounce or two !! What do you guys do on game day about coaches box/bench ?? I cant remember back in the old days when we played there.... I think I remember a park bench being used ??

Round 3 Tips.

Saturday's games.

Westminster v Sailsbury West by 60 + pts Dragons to get the points onthe board at home & have too many quality midfielders & will make light work of the Tigers who will be competitive but unfortunatley wont be able to keep up.
Pultney v Unley by 6 pts the Blues have started the season on fire but the Jets are also a very good side, this one can go either way & will go down to the wire Jets just...

Sunday's games.

Sailsbury v Pooraka by 30 pts the Magpies need to show something otherwise their season is in trouble but Portland come from 0-3 to win the flag in '08 so nothing is impossible but the Bull's to run riot.
Greenacres v Golden Grove by 1 pt these games have a habit of going down to the wire Kooka's to just fall short as the Dragon's will grab the points also have a 3-0 record to start the season.
Fitzroy v Woodville South by 18 pts the Cats will be desperate & hope they are up for a high scoring shoot out as the will need to match the Lions fire power as they have had two games with 40 + goals kicked.

Some ripper games this weekend.
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

It was very lush and apart from one filled in hole at the southern end there's barely a patch on it. In very good nick. Must be a pain chasing balls thru the goals at both ends though ??

When I looked at it I thought it looked quite small, but probably because everything is so close around it... Is still long with thin pockets.... Hey mate, try getting over 100 on an oval for training !!
