Yeah mate, in WA somewhere, scariest looking person I've ever met, very polite and quiet though when you get to know him.

Azza's mate LOL.

Reckon this bloke ended up playing at Mt.Torrens in 1995. Was due to play a Preliminary Final against the now defunct Eastern Rangers in the HFL, but disappeared when he found out that they were full of Staff Force police.

That's the one. Played under the name of Neville Ninette in the HFL. Scariest looking bloke I've seen on a footy field. Unfortunately I got in his way during a final, and was lucky i saw the clothesline coming from a mile away.

Last year North Pines came home really strong, knocking us out of the 5th spot. Wouldn't be surprised if they come home strong again this year.

If they can get a run happening they are more than capable.

As you said with Smithfield LM, getting as close as possible to a full strength side on the park will be the key for us over the remainder of the season. We have had a few blokes who left at the start of the year return, which will help hopefully.

I don't think Smithfield has ever played North Pines in a senior match.

Other than Mitchell Park at the top and Flinders Uni at the bottom, I think the rest of the comp is pretty tight.
Although Smithfield have only won 1 game so far, from what I have heard they will get better and could cause some upsets in the remainder of the season (I hope not this weekend)

My thoughts on the ladder at seasons end:

Mitchell Park

Angle Vale
Henley
TTG

Flinders Park
Modbury
Nth Pines
SHOC
Smithfield

Flinders Uni

5th spot could be any of the teams listed in that 3rd group. (Teams listed alphabetically not in particular orders)

For what it's worth Bigshow82.

Mitchell Park
TTG
Angle Vale
Henley
North Pines
SHOC
Flinders Pk
Modbury
Smithfield
Flinders Uni

Good luck to Smithfield with their big day Saturday. It has taken a big step to get back to Div 7 for such a special day. I seriously hope it is a day to remember. :D

Pretty crap write up in the div 7 preview, if the writer had cared to do some research, perhaps even on here.
No mention of the big day that Smithfield have planned.
North Pines and Smithfield have never met in a senior match so I don't know where the strong dislike for each other may of come from.

Oh well, I guess he was getting over his big comeback match from a fortnight ago that we all got to read about.

Tend to agree. The hyperbole about Mitchell Park was a bit embarrassing in The Budget as well. I know the writer is likely a volunteer but there is no need to say the only interest in a game is to see if one side or another can win by 300 points. It's a tad disrespectful.

It is easy to criticise from the sidelines though lads! Get in there and write something to help out.

Pretty sure it's a paid role, they advertised for a div. 3 writer earlier in the season and there was renumeration mentioned.
If you're going to do something, do it with some gusto, every club has their head coach's phone number listed, get some christian names, get some info that isn't plucked out of the Sunday Mail or off the sportingpulse site.
There's a hell of a lot of readers that look forward to having a read of the sportsbeat, it has become more SAAFL orientated and it's the first thing I grab when I get my first beer on a Friday evening every week.
I used to go across to the pub to go take one off their bar when ours wasn't picked up or delivered.

Micky Lane is having a stellar season for Smithfield, would've of featured in the votes each game I've watched, doesn't argue with the umps, plays the ball, runs in straight lines and rebounds profusely.
I guess Matty Stewart is a bit more known around the traps.
