We've been hurt over the years by the league clubs not wanting their juniors (our juniors) to play in a lower divisions if they weren't getting selectd in the 17's or 19's. So being in Div 6 in 2005 wasn't a tempting divison to return to. I guess the lure of the higher divisions is helping them come back...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Have only heard of 3 but there have been a few hanging around the club of late as well as a few other ex-juniors who are playing down south in the country. All juniors and all school mates of alot of the GG boys so it'll be interesting to see what transpires....

Why would anyone want to play on that dung heap every second week?

Yeah it can be considering we don't splash the cash a great deal but you can only do what you can to keep blokes at your club who have grown up playing football there. Eventually some come home ;)

Yes I'm a fair chance to at this point. Enjoyed it.... well most of it anyway ;)

I think that as we move into higher divisions it will become easier to splash the cash, as it will be easier to entice sponsors to the club. Also on Johnny Boxer, I am not overly close with the guy but could nearly guarantee that he would not leave the club, he loves the club, more importantly the people involved in the club and the boys he plays with, just yesterday I saw him down at harpers having a dob with a few other GGFC players having a good time.

I think a good piece of advice to give people is "its not what you do, its who you do it with" and at the moment there is a great bunch of guys at our club thus creating a positive environment, making it easy for players to want to stay and also not leave. This may change in the future, but for now if your involved with our club, its the place to be and I can't see anyone leaving.

Not sure if this has already been discussed on here, but are you guys looking at Div 7 & Div 7R now that you're in Div 3?

I know Flinders Park are (who will also be in Div 3) so I was just curious if its in GG's plans or not?
