He came up through our juniors and is too old for our U16's now. He is a gun player (just ask him)....

I thought DQ was talking to me Scorpion, A bit rude to but in?

Sorry, didn't think you answered questions like that, so thought I'd give him an answer.

they play their oval very well, although i do suspect next time when the game is played at daly it'll be a lot closer. It's a well known fact Heccies don't play small ovals very well(e.g houghton & WC games last yr)

I never thought our oval was a small oval?

i didnt think it was that small, maybe if MP came and watch us play that match he would know that,

Whats goin with Starry DQ, i noticed the coach had a big 1 on 1 with him around the boundary line in the 1st half, he then had a bit more impact in the 2nd half. Coach seemed a bit frustrated with him.

that bloke played the 1st match in As n played average and got dropped straight away. he struggled to find and know what his role was in the team. got picked in As near end of season but got chosen for north 19s the same week.

he played only one quarter yestaday for broadview As jus like heccies only played 1 quarter of footy yestaday

i always thought he was a good player for heccies but didnt think had much of a chance, but anyway i hope he does ok at broadies, hes a good lad, bit like yourself hb3

Hectorville's young ruck who has been playing for Sturt's B-grade played pretty well for them. He managed to win a lot of the centre hit outs (to no avail) and also moved around the ground well. He has a good set of hands and gets in good position. I think Hectorville definitely didn't use him to their advantage as well as they could have.

I spoke to him during the game and he reckons there will be a couple of young Sturt players who are likely to be in and out of the side through out the year. Only problem is will they be able to rely on these guys to be there when they need them most.

It was unfortunate that the big full forward went down. A target like that will certainly be missed if he's out for too long!

HV definitely worked well all across the oval. It was very good to see, especially with so many new players in the side. It was probably the first time we had our near full strenghth side on the oval at once together. Will be nice to have either one or both of our rucks out on the ground next time! Not bad that we had 5 other blokes to throw in there to fill the void though!
If i'm not playing football then i'm probably watching it, otherwise i'm at least thinking about it!

I know where your comin from, i remember him from 05 and his pesky mouthy runner who was waterboy on saturday. Other teams on here might have to take note that waterboys arent permitted to relay messages from the coach or do any coaching themselves. That bloke is right royal pain in the :butthead: Just looked like Starr was off with the pixies in the 1st half.

I'm pretty sure he is the runner and might have just had a water bottle in his hand while running messages? You gotta love Langey, he drives opposition players nuts! No doubt he'll have a bit to say to our blokes when we play them

He was dressed in white with a water bottle in his hand. Pretty sure They had a runner in yellow. Old cab obviously hasnt forgotten 05, he tried to get us by saying one of our blokes didnt go through the interchange lines early in the 1st quarter. He did have a good view up in the commentary box though.

He probably struggled to get into the game first half, just dusting off the cobwebs, he only played one trial match and that was after a cricket trip :drinkers: :partyman: :vom: . To his credit he responded well.

I think you'll find he likes the view. I'd rather Cab's 'carry on' than the display showed by Rowell to a couple of our female supporters.

Langey was unavailable for first half because he had something important come up, but I reckon he took over the runner duties when he arrived. Langey is gold though.

Our match day official pulled you guys up on that because the bloke didn't go through the marked area, just a friendly reminder of the rules.

It should be an interesting contest between he and our ruckman, Clint.

Hawkseye, if you actually watched him, you would have seen Cab and myself tell him, to shut up and just run water, we had a runner and did not require his services for that day........
