Wicks would have to be in his 40s wouldn't he?

Feels like he's old enough to have played for Sturt prior to the return to Unley

Noticeable that OSB and Hackham are not mentioned

Good to see considering the League took a punt and let them in

Done I believe. Not sure the hit was worth 6 though.

Is it on the video? What minute??

Wouldn't be many multi association winning footballers banned would there?

Could a club go chasing him in a league that allow him to play....that happened with one of the Hay boys didn't it.

It could have been behind play, especially getting 6 weeks haha.

BTW the best and 'only' (tongue in cheek) good thing about the SAAFL is all the games being filmed. Makes for some good watches during boring zoom seminars etc, whilst doing the dishes at home.

Much rather watch a good ammo match than some of the AFL games these days.

how is that only a yellow card - that was an absolute grub move in my opinion.

Maybe 6 a tad harsh but im fine with the league being on the harsher side. Was late, missed the ball by a lot, head high, swinging arm. You got to go.

I bag the SAAFL a fair bit but i think they've done a great job in trying to clean up the league.

Trying to clean up the league? I think they have absolutely achieved cleaning up the league and are maintaining that by sending out a strong message with the length of suspensions for what has become a small number of reportable offences each week when you consider how many games are played across the league. It's actually a pleasure to watch a game of AdFL footy without some of the macho BS that players used to engage in and still do in some other leagues.

It was the old push and shove and other little cheap shots that would lead to more serious incidents as the game went on. Whilst I still get a little frustrated with how liberal some of the umps are with dishing out yellow cards you can see how effective this can be in putting a stop to something that could escalate later in the game. Massive improvement in spectator behaviour has also helped with a greater sense of calm out on the field.
