We could have fielded a much, much, much, stronger side than that one but out of respect for our C Graders, Ingle Farm and footy in general we decided to select a mostly C Grade side but with a few ring ins who we wanted to get some fitness into.

 Geez you can talk some f**cking shit.. 10 played b grade today and 2 played A grade, None of your best players played and of the 26 goals you kicked last week, only 3 goals came from todays C grade lineup

And how'd the C grade go today? 79 point loss..

I hate dwelling on the past, but this has me so cranky, i dont think i'll let this go for a long time.. it'll sit and manifest in the pits of my stomach.. Round 10 cant come quick enough!!!
What the **** is this shit. I don't even know where to start.

I repeatedly said we fielded a very strong C Grade side with B graders and fringe A Graders. I repeatedly said it sucked for Ingle Farm and it was unlucky. Not sure what you want? Blood? Sacrificed virgin? Some sort of other penance?

What perhaps you might not be aware of is how many players we had to call up just to field a C Grade this week, mostly because of the fact the A Grade nicked a couple of B Graders, which mean our B Grade needed to nick C graders. That combined with a few C Graders stepping it up on the training track meant they got a game in the B's. We aren't 3 separate teams, we're one club, players move up and down according to form and necessity, not the whims of bitter rival clubs nor their emotional coaches.

Fact is, we could have fielded a much stronger side against you, but decided not to out of respect. None of our core B grade suited up and we rotated our better players all day. Next time, as I think we will have the bye in the B's again, I am going to encourage us to play a full B Grade squad against you with some A's who need a rest just to see you cry like a girl who scraped her knee - much like you are doing in this thread.

I understand you're a new coach, it's clear you have a lot to learn. The first lesson might perhaps be to focus on the controllables.

Gee, take your medicine.

You made a claim that the "vast majority" of your side was your intended C Grade. Apparently 12 players played higher, including all your best players from the previous week plus 23 out of 26 goals.

You got owned, it's not the end of the world though, so just pull your head in.
See below in bold:

"You made a claim that the "vast majority" of your side was your intended C Grade."

It was our intended C Grade, guess what! Things change! People get injured, people put their hand up, people need a run, some people get sick etc etc etc.

Heck, here is an email between me and the B Grade coach before that Saturday:

Image

I got "owned"? What are you 12?

Fact is, and I repeat, we could have played a much stronger side but we didn't. Why didn't we? See previous discussion.

Yeah well like racism, it's a vicious circle. Contempt breeds contempt. Ingle Farm will always be known as that in my eyes since Round 1 2003 - easily the worst football experience of my career, at least until proven otherwise.

Did the boys who played round 1 give you any reason to justify that opinion? 90% under the age of 21, the few older ones hardly played footy before..

Round 1 2003?? And you say I can't let things go

The bottom line is, no we will not let it go, we will continue to use it to serve as motivation to better ourselves and drive us on the track.. it's called pride..

8) indeed it is..

Although C grade is supposed to be a fun kick and catch grade, how can you expect to have any success or drive players to play in the higher grades if they don't take it seriously?

At Ingle Farm C grade is about teaching these guys how to play footy and getting them up to a level where they can then go to the B grade without it being a massive jump, it's about improving overall depth across the club not just in numbers but in ability.

Players find motivation in different forms - working to move up the grades, impress a girlfriend, being called scum and getting touched up by a strong side..

Well then you should be thanking us, not whining! We were just helping a brother out.

As for Round 1 2003, what happened there was unforgivable and I will never, ever forget it. I wont go into details because it isn't appropriate. Suffice to say it makes the accusation of stacking a C Grade side pale into insignificance. The two are not comparable.

Having said that I apologise for using that term in my email. It was not fair and it will not be publicly aired again.

If it was a pride/motivational thing i would imagine it's something you keep in house, not go on and on about in a public forum and sound like sore losers.

What is the bet come round 11 Ingle Farm and Mitchell Park's A's are both playing in the C's.

This is what happens when Ingle Farm and Mitchell Park get together. It never ends well.

Just on this, no, not at all. The lads that played under you in the C's were seemingly top blokes. There was not a concern in any way with how they played or their demeanour. My email was before the game remember!

It was also meant to be private and I forgot to edit it, just like Crows fans refer to Port as certain names and vice versa, just an off the cuff comment based on previous experiences with the IFFC.

A lot of work has gone into changing the way that IFFC is perceived and I beleive that we have come a long way in the past 2 years. Just as i am lead to beleive that your club has done also. What makes it very dificult to move forward as a club, is when people continue to drag up the past and not give credit or a chance for the current group to show the improvements that have been made. Ok you have apoligised and yes it was a stuff up on your behalf, it should have never been made public, apology accepted, now lets move on.
