i thought the first 2 weeks of finals is normally played on Sundays so they can use higher grade umpires.

Yeah it use to be but has changed this year now that Division 1 have finals start 2 weeks later & Division 2 have finals start next week so every grade below Division 3 will have finals start this week & all played in a Saturdays

Hey mate reading through the rules looks like the higher placed team supplies the interchange steward, time keeper ect & that both teams have a match day official & that they both just have to pay half of the umpiring fees each but not 100% sure if this includes boundary & goals?

Wingies have had some good form of late, I think they will win this grade.

They are every chance to Hawkseye as they finish off games full of run & have a lot of talent out there but we also have 4 x other sides in there that are capable of going all the way too, will be a good finals series to watch

Wazz, being a former umpire, what was your thoughs about the umpiring on Saturday?

Knowing Wiegand for many years his very poor umpiring and his lack of respect to players was not out of the ordinary. The other guy was just a bad I thought and both were trying to outdo one another, power crazed knobs! My rant is not because we lost, you guys were far better than us and deserved to win.

Seaton - Gill has been a stand out with Domanski, Sajatovic & Fiest.
Wingfield - Amos can be electric & Stevens is always dangerous.
Kenilworth - Elftheriou, Roberts, Strobel, Gillmore is always racks up votes.
Eastern Park - No.7 was a stand out in the middle, No.13 on the wing & No.4 of the Half Back Flank.
