Even then why wasn't the problem found after game 1 if it is supposedly so easy to work out points? It took the SAAFL 4 games to get their own house in order!!! What a lot of shjt!!

If it is true that Kilburn sent a email and it wasn't replied I think that is a bit rough.

CFL handed out the punishment not the saafl

Stop talking shite. How hard is it to work out Pearce was rated as a North reserves player and not a fitzroy senior player. You blokes knew it and tried to pull the wool over everyone's eyes and then hoped to use the old "your system didn't pick it up so how can we".

I reckon the saafl board need to answer why they only fined you a thousand dollars when it should've been 3. :-({|= :-({|= :-({|=

Load of rubbish that it was deliberate. The risk is to great for the potential reward.

I agree that we stuffed up but I also agree that the league did too. We have copped our lot and everyone(players at least) are over it.

I been told cfl fined them 12k, with the loss all points (1k for each point over). The rumours I'm hearing from other saafl clubs they are lucky with the penalty they got!

These are the penalties that apply under the APPS the SAAFL can add their own as per R&R

As per the CFL Rules and Regulations

32.7
If a player or official of a Club is found guilty of providing any false or misleading information in the Player Declaration referred to in Regulation 32.6:

32.7.1
Such player or official will be liable to penalties including, but not limited to deregistration (in the case of a player) suspension and/or a fine not exceeding $2,000.00, or such other amount as the Board may determine from time to time;

32.7.2
The Club may be liable to a fine not exceeding $2,000.00, or such other amount as the Board may determine from time to time, and/or the loss of premiership points by its Senior (A Grade) Team.

32.8
If a team of a Club exceeds the Total Points Rating allocated to it, in any game played by its Senior (A Grade) Team the following penalties will automatically apply:

32.8.1
The loss of all premiership points, earned for that game, the loss of all points scored by the team in that game, plus a fine of $1,000.00

I think that answers all the guessing going on in regards to penalities

Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

What you are all missing in your evaluations is the damage this stupid points system has on the Amateur league. mates playing with mates, playing for a Club that is in the lower grades trying to achieve success and get to the top levels of our league. Kickinit and Killa you are obviously enjoying slandering Kilburn with original comments (do the crime do the time etc) but this whole mess has been handled badly by all including officialdom. Anyway Kilburn will still play finals (playing with no more than 15 points) and I will bet you 2 wont be there to see it.

Any truth in the rumour that one player's parents were offered Life Membership to try qualify as a 'Zero points' player ?
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Lets hope you do Nearly Was. Certainly there are many questions that are still to be answered, after listening to many points from this subject, which just won't go away and remain a bit of a mystery.

Am sure that the club will rebound quickly and will be stronger and bigger than ever. I am sure that Jamie will use this as an "us against the world" mentality on a Saturday, which more times than not works. Look at the Port Adelaide FC in the SANFL under Jack Cahill, with that philosophy.

you don't you all stand up and be man enough to say yes we cheated the system and know we have to deal with. All this crap about the SAAFL did us wrong the APPS is stupid isn't going to convince anyone that it wasn't your fault. Do you seriously think anyone believes that you didn't know Nick Pearce hadn't played more games at sanfl the at fitzroy. Everyone in the SAAFL know you cheated the system and you got caught out, so stop acting like your club was hard done by as really you got let off lightly.

Let off lightly? Losing the percentage and 6 points far outweighs any monetary value in my books.

Kickinit you would never have heard of him if his name was not on this site. Go back to threatening people, it was more entertaining(and beleivable) than this repetitive dribble.

All you have done is attempt to take an easy shot on here at a club that made a mistake. Judging by your comments you don't even play football and I can understand why having regard to your attitude.

We've all had a pot shot at this mob but it's getting a little old. Still, I'm guessing there would've been a few waiting a long time to dish it out to The Chicks

kilburn would have known about who had points and who did not carry any other clubs manage it very well would think with all the cash kilburn throwing around they would least hire someone smart enough to make sure this would not happen....

the points system is a great idea keeps clubs like kilburn honest and the sport a little level....if we did not have the points system the division's would be a joke we all know how clubs use to abuse the salary cap and work around that now they cant work around a point's system boowhoooo

Did you know that it was your chairman who pushed for the APPS and led the charge at the delegates meeting and moved the motion for it to be adopted by the league.

Might pay to ask him why he did it.

Maybe you should learn to count. Every other club has been able to manage the system except you guys and you got caught. If you don't get an answer from the league you keep hassling them until you do.

I didn't realise all of Nick's best mates were at Kilburn- what a lucky coincidence! ;)
