he is training with smosh. Dont no if he has signed or playing there thou.

He went 2 Seaton 2 play A1 footy.
They got 2 A1 & now he's back at SMOSH.
Maybe he doubts his ability for A1 level & wants 2 remain in Div2.
If this year was anything 2 go by,he will be found out again.

Surely every club would want to make sure they win the flag rather than making sure Adelaide Uni don't.

jjust curious as to why people think uni will win the div 2 flag?
i mean after all, they only won three games last year and it sounds like some clubs have recruited well.
cheers

Uni have always been a strong Div 1 club and for them it was embarrassing for them to be demoted last season.

I think they will be very determined to not only win the Div 2 GF next year but also do it convincingly.

I don't doubt that they will be determined and I have heard they have lined up some ex-league players and a lot of ex players. However, the Blacks have always recruited players because it was the done thing at uni, because of connections for work or the social side and because they are in div 1. These avenues failed them last year and while they might be able to fire up for one year but may fail to get the quality of players required for div 1 consistently. Don't forget before the big effort for the centenary year they weren't too far of relegation. If the Blacks go up and down it will be hard to get good players without paying them. From now on Uni will be on a knife's edge as a div 1 side.

Andy just went back in history for the blacks and came up with 2007-9th/2006-2nd/2005-7th/2004-7th/2003-5th/2002-2nd/2001-2nd/2000-6th/1999-1st/1998-3rd. I'd say competing in 4 of the past 10 grand Finals for one win really couldn't be classified as struggling, if anything they've underachieved in the opportunities they've had. Even in the 2004/05 seasons they still won 8 of their eighteen games and 10 wins got you into the finals. It's well documented the 2007 season was an aberration for many reasons and granted the Blacks may have to change some of the ways they avail themselves to potential recruits but I would say that history has given them a few credits in the credibility stakes and don't need to suffer the indignity by being subjected to second guessing by people who are passionate about their own club and quite rightly so but that doesn't lend itself to have a full dossier on what the blacks are doing at Bob Neil Stadium No1.

I'm only guessing but I think it's a culmination of many things but there's always been a doubt on how they have been able to have been so competitive for so long without paying players which always rears it's head and people than start saying they supply pools and pergolas and whatever else in leu of match payments. I think the other reason is people misconstrue the Blacks haphazard approach to footy and view that as arrogance.

With regards to their Div1 side I think its more to do with the general attitude that you experience when you go to play there. There has been a healthy arrogance that has served them well over the years but doesn't necessarily endear you to other people.

not sure you're right about uni losing the 2006 GF because of the stuff up with the program. Uni were pretty confident about winning the GF, especially it being their centenary year, but they were completely outplayed in the GF and beaten by a much better side.

I don't have anything against Uni, I just think that times are changing. Uni will only be able to attract good players while they are successful in div 1. I'm only going off my own observations but people going to clubs for money are becoming more prevelant. I just think that if Uni stay in div 2 this year it may be the start of a mini slide.

the three week break between the second semi and the grand final didn't help. that meant that the blacks had played 1 game in 5 weeks.
but certainly, goodwood played exceptionally well that day and would have proved difficult even in a normal program.
it was a sad day and not the best culmination for the centenary but at least the b's, d's, e's all won a flag.
here's hoping that the balcks can get back quickly to div 1 as it seems that without the 'uni poofs' teams will miss somebody to hate. :)

Seaton football club.
Sucked in all the time by players chasing money who are not loyal.
It is obvious now that Fraser had no intention of staying on with seaton past 07
played with the club for the coin which obviously smosh werent going to offer and
now had the bargaining right to return to his home club after a year in div 2.
Good on ya seaton who are ya after this year in his boat????????

Always Mobile, gee its easy 2 say at the end of the year where his intensions lied (Fraser).
You say it was obvious,he was never going 2 stay?
When did you get that asumption?
I must admit, the club didn't lose 2 much,as he missed alot of games due 2 travel & a bit injury.
But the games he did play & what he did get (money),i don't think he could hold his head up 2 high,as he surely didn't give the club enough back eg-(after match).

Hey football magic, I think its time to lay off Fraser, he is after all a good and funny bloke.
Yes, he did leave SMOSH to go to Seaton for money, but it was only to get some extra spending money for his overseas trip.
Of course he was never going to stay at Seaton long term, all his friends are at SMOSH, including the guy he went overseas with. He did play juniors at Seaton but like myself, moved to West Lakes after we realised that we weren't housing trust ferals.
SMOSH are happy to have him back, especially in the good shape he is in now. He is a gun forward and on his day takes great pack marks. Something that SMOSH lacked a bit this year.
