strong performance by BOS today in a tough and fiercely contested game.
houghton got out to an early 3 goal start due to some inaccurate kicking from BOS and stretched it to just on 5 goals late in the second.
from that point though BOS worked harder and started to run harder and kicked 19 goals to 4.
real team effort and contribution from all 21. was a good result to get to 2 and 2 rather than 1 and 3.
the 2's had a win which will get them up and going as well.

Full credit to BOS they lifted in the 2nd half and we didn't. It was extremely disappointing for us not to go on with the job. On the bright side its only early days so we MUST learn from it.

Seems the only thing that has changed at CU is the bathroom facilities. Still a bunch of snipers.

pretty ordinary post considering central united had players in hospital with concussion, considering you only lost by 115pts. but good to see your a grade & coaching staff come back for a drink.

from my view the hit on the bloke that went down was a hip and shoulder that copped him high, umpire called play on, nothing in it

hope the guys ok though, had a few chats with some central united folk through out the day and they seem to be moving in the right direction

Lol a hip and shoulder that was high. Just because the ump called play on doesn't mean it wasn't dirty.

TOS missed a massive opportunity yesterday and the blacks need to be given credit for a decent performance but when the score is something like 1-14 at half time to 4 straight, being let off the hook is a massive understatement. We had so much of the footy and so many inside 50's but just could not convert. I was sitting in the grandstand (great set up down at University Oval) with the rest of the TOS supporters and we thought it was quite funny that we were chasing them down with points, but then 3/4 quarter time rolls around and were still behind and running out of time to get our act together. Uni took there chances and we didn't it was as simple as that. Their FF was handy, tall and skinny but quick off the mark and nailed the goals. Their defence was desperate, scragged and pressured our forwards all day and it paid off in the end. Hopefully this is a big wake up call for the boys because they have just been going through the motions so far this season. Its a long season though and im sure they will be able to bounce back quickly and get back on track against henley.

Well done to the Glenunga A grade. Was great to see them play together as one. Very free flowing game but overall good to see Glenunga up where it belongs.

hounds: you werent there..you cant really comment..you didnt see it or how the injured player was behaving previously..helicopter arms comes to mind..he got up and was ok and managed to spray some verbals from the side so i dont think he was to bad..if big bad barry lewis didnt think there was anything there illegal then we move on.. :)

as for the units they outclassed us all over the park from the 5 minute mark of the 1st quarter..ran hard..hit packs..the 2 forwards #23 and #32 are innocuos but very smart and have good leaps..it was an embarassing effort by our boys and they must react to it but take nothing away from the units..they are a genuine threat for the flag..having disposed of glenunga as well..
