Ingle Farm apparently has 8 A Graders to come into the side, they could give West Croydon a bit of a shake now they have a greater sense of belief.

Match of the round at St Mary's, would be a cracker to go watch. I reckon Kenilworth will get up in a real close game.

boo's to barry lewis for turning up 20 minutes after start time for his game..and then blowing his whistle at half time to get teams back out on the oval..maybe practice what you preach..

morell: will the guy who got sent off saturday get a club suspension also as per your guidelines?..the victim was pretty groggy i was told..

Tough task for any side down at Hanson Rd.

The Kooka's look as though they have strong Key Positions, some real big boys! It will definatelly be a challenge for the Lockleys runners on the wide open spaces of Panther Park.

Lets hope so. Stiffy is probably in our top 3 or 4 in terms of ability and he is only 18. One of the real bright spots in what is turning out to be a pretty tough couple of years. Was definitely out of character for him, never done anything like that before. Hopefully he will learn from it, mature a bit as a player and come back even better.

Bloody hell. We struggle to find people to do the odd jobs every week. On the weekend our 60 yr old president was doing the boundary for the B's in the first quarter.

Hard to find volunteers on the weekend. Some leniency would be good.

A bit of leniency from who? You can't start a game without a Boundary Umpire. Now the 60 year old isn't the answer, that's plain dangerous. And we all know too much gets left up to too few. It's near impossible to find volunteers, But we can't allow the system to go down the tubes.

We had to bite the bullet a few years ago and pay for those jobs to be done. Umpires, Scoreboard, Timekeepers..... for some it's a Bar card, others it's a free lunch or Dinner from the club and for some it's cash. If you're not paying players/coaches huge match payments there's usually enough to go around.

I am sure youv'e tried, but for example at our club, a couple of 16 year olds share the boundary and goal umpiring duties for A's, B's & C's, they get $70 each for a Saturday, more than they could get working at Hungry Jack's and we never get fined.

If you havn't got Juniors try some local's, you know money talks and the fines are a pain in the @#$@. Even maybe an ad in the Messenger or the Local Deli or Hotel Front Bar, if you never ask you'll never know. Here's a thought what about the suspended player does the scoreboard, timekeeping, Goal Umpiring or Boundery, that will definatelly straighten out the discipline. Even take the man off the bench before you put a 60 year old in danger of a heart attack. Just trying to give a few ideas.

Running sporting clubs like ours is not easy and most members/Bar Flies have got plenty of ideas and plenty to say but not always prepared to get their hands dirty. But let's not drop our required standards cause it's too hard, cause that's when it all goes down hill very quickly and nobody wants to be part of a comp that can't get the basics available.

Yeah it was poor on our part for not having the required people but it does not happen every week so shed a tear bomberrob. Are you saying WC has never had that happen?

We have gone through a major personnel change this year, alot of new people at the club and also quite a few people departed the club. Its a work in progress trying to get the new people integrated enough into the club so they feel comfortable getting out their cars and helping out on a saturday. Did you play saturday Bomberrob?

As a past player of both clubs me thinks a visit to Panther Park this week is in order. See if someone can stop Osborn...

Dude. It wasn't that bad. He was behind the scenes so it prolly bothered him a little more but the players didn't even notice.

Also, I just wanted to say that in the first 2 rounds, we've had prolly some of the best div 6 umpiring I've ever seen. They're not perfect obviously (no-one is), but in comparison to previous years, it's been quite good.
