Prince Alfred OC v Para Hills 4-5goals tough start to the year will hold for one more week.

Seaton Ramblers v CBCOC 1-10pts will be a belter!! 2 best teams in the comp at the moment i reckon.

Kilburn v Scotch OC 3-5goals still not sure about scotch will see in time.

Portland v SMOSH West Lakes 10pts cant believe one of these 2 will be 0-3 to start but in saying that portland were 0-3 if i remember correctly 2years ago and won the flag!!

SMOSH won in round 1 mate.

Yeah, we havent won a game in the first 3 rounds for the last 4 years !!! True stat !

we were teaboy
and i also found out that the first premiership we were 0-4, coach was sacked and we won 13 in a row or something like that?
will be alot harder to do in a higher divison though

Not entirely true Fisty, from memory i think we were 2-2 when Brenton Klaebe 'stepped aside' as coach in 2000.

We were 0-4 Felch. Then only lost 1 more game for the year and it was against Mitcham in the mud at their ground and i missed pretty easy goal to win it. Hard to believe i know

ah yep so they did!
interesting team smosh, some heavy bodies that i would think really didnt suit their big ground. especially on a hot day like it was.

Sturtman, im sure i have had this convo with someone before and found out that wasnt the case.

Saying it was 0-4 definately adds to the legend though... ;)

I stand corrected Felch, just checked the SAAFL history and we won 15 in home and away season. You are a very wise man

this should be a really good week of footy all games i would pressume being pretty close

Mitcham v Old Ignatians - without ruckman this week backing iggies to win by 5 goals
Prince Alfred OC v Para Hills- definatly slurted with the idea of picking para hills, cant right a good side like para hills off but going on form had to pick PAOC
Seaton Ramblers v CBCOC- this will be a true indicator of how CBCOC are really going with seaton being the measuring stick of div 3 IMO
Kilburn v Scotch OC- just going by form
Portland v SMOSH West Lakes- backing smosh cos i have backed portland the last 2 weeks try something different and see if we can get a win on the board ;)

Round 3 Tips!

Mitcham over Old Iggies - 4 goals - Hawks are playing well and will have some important in's this week
PAOC over Para hills - 6 goals - PAC to strong for PH right now
Seaton over CBC - 6 goals - Seaton to prove they're the team to beat.
Scotch over Kilburn - 10 goals - Kilburn look destined for Div 4 early!
SMOSH over Portland - 6 goals - SMOSH to bounce back after last week, to much run and too many talls for portland to cover

Klaebe stepped down, club captain Paul Marshall was placed on the long term injury list, Big Bag Bustling Sturtman started marking everything in sight and the sides form picked up!!!

Sturtman may need to be added to Portlands forward line this week, to give them some marking power thats been lacking.

Yes i think thats why Marshy was placed on the injured list, 4 broken fingers trying to mark one of Sturtmans kicks.

Old Iggies. Strong side by the soudns of things!
PAOC - continue their good form in a top clash
Seaton - huge test for the purple - has a lot fo freo vs St kilda about it I reckon! Tough gig to win away at PEdlar reserve though.
Scotch - i didn't think Kilburn were that bad, but struggle to back a team thats been belted by 150 points the week before.
SMOSH - huge contest and always a tough and close game!

Some really good games agin this weekend, although, given the eveness of the compeition, I may well be saying this every week!

Just to confirm - Is a red card actually an automatic one week suspension? Wouldn't midn some calrification on the yellow/red card rules if someone knows them. (not that i plan to get one!)

Fair enough. Wasn't at the game so had no idea who got the red. Sounds like the return leg will be interesting. Personally I've always liked playing you fellas, every game is a cracker.

How many guys from the other D3 clubs are coming down to the Thunderdome on Sunday for the ANZAC Day clash between Portland and SMOSH ? It should be a cracker of a game, and the blokes on Thunder Hill should be in fine form.
