This now makes it 5 players from our 1998 U/17 premiership side that have gone on to play 250 games for the club, with another 3 having played over 150 games. A great return which I believe outlines the importance of having strong juniors.

Hey Dazzler who is responsible for the Wooville South Facebook page? Not sure referring to West Croydon as scum whilst congratulating Clifford on his milestone is necessary?

Off the ball king hits, probably the biggest issue in amateur footy, and everyone is just happy to pretend it didn't happen. Stop pretending this is a league wide problem, its not, its a problem with a few clubs.

Again Elizabeth posters, what action has your club taken??

Noone is condoning it or pretending it didnt happen mate.
Aron is a very young, very talented footballer and is far from the nasty sucker punching player you are desperately trying to make him out to be Jetters!
I wasnt there, but i know there was no "King Hit". Was definitely a fight and its very unfortunate the Kenilworth captain got severely hurt. I dont think any footballer has the intention of causing such severe injurys to anyone!
The SAAFL gave a penalty which for a 19-20 yo is a massive penalty considering he will miss the rest of the season (inc possibly finals) He is 3 weeks away from a life ban...

What the club do or act on i have no idea as im not involved anymore than a spectator these days. But rest assured Jetters if you care so much, that Elizabeth has always and always will pride itself on playing hard but fair and if you look at our tribunal record over the last 10 years you will find we are up the with the best behaved, especially amongst the Northern clubs.
1 isolated incident last year and 1 really bad day 2 weeks ago should not tar us with the brush you are trying to paint the club with!

*This opinion is mine only and made as a supporter of EFC. I dont represent the clubs position in anyway.

No idea mate, but it doesn't reflect the feelings of everyone at the club that's for sure. Western Suburbs Clubs get enough of a bad wrap from the rest of the league without turning on each other.

I think you'll find that it definitely was not a fight!! The actions taken by EFC will be on display for remainder of season plus finals by playing hard but FAIR footy and by keeping out of the Report list. Plenty of opportunites to display courage and toughness, that act from all accounts was neither. However everyone should be afforded a second chance. Sad thing in this case is the KFC Captain may not have that luxury

Guess I'm still bitter about what happened to our player last year. Then seeing nothing done by their club and it happen to another poor bloke just gives me the sh!ts.

Fantastic win, gone from losing to the bottom side in West Croydon last week in a disgraceful performance to beating second placed Kenilworth in one of the best wins the A grade has had in the past few seasons. A week definitely is a long time in football.

First time I can remember it is struggling. No games on the weekend will help, but juniors are back on it now so we'll have to wait and see.

Our oval has generally held up well, but the extra rain this year has taken its toll, as I'm sure it has on other ovals.

The fight for the final five will come down to the wire. Woodville South and Kenilworth should obviously be the top two and Elizabeth should finish third although with us knocking off Kenilworth they're still a chance to finish second. Forth and fifth spot are up for grabs between us, Para Hills and Glenunga. We need win at least two out of the three remaining games to play finals.

The EFC is hosting its first past players day this Saturday against Trinity OS, our current nearest rivals.
There'll be a pig on the spit on the day and medals presented to the best players on either side at the conclusion of the match.
The medals are to be named after a significant player.
All former players welcome to attend.
And, any SAAFL officials in attendance on the day are welcome to join us as well.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
