From what I have heard/seen:
Mitchell Park - Right up there (6-0....cant get any better at this time of the year)... If they keep their best 21 on the park will be flag favourite throughout the minor round.
Henley - Traditionally always have a very strong C grade - very hard to beat at home - Top 3
Tea Tree Gully - Will get better as the year progresses - pending injuries (to their A's and B's as well).... Rumour has 3 big names yet to play but will be for the back 9.... Top 3
SHOC - Reigning Premiers (if Im not mistaken) - havent heard much about their big man up forward that dominated the last few years (Retired???) - Top 5
Angle Vale - Will be around the middle of the pack at seasons end - Defining 3 weeks coming up to the halfway mark for them
Flinders Park - Started well.... got some big games coming up - Middle of the pack
Modbury - Like Henley and TTG, rely heavily on injuries in higher grades - If they keep close to best side - Top 5
North Pines - Will win big then lose big - Unfortunately will lose big more than most - Keeping a settled/consistent side will be their issue - Bottom 3
Smithfield - Will remain in the bottom 3
Flinders Uni - Bottom 3.... When they run and link - quite good, but once a team gets a run on.... they cant stop them....

Thoughts on Angle Vale, well they have played one good game and that was against North Pines round 1, dont rate the Flinders Uni game due to everyone kicks big scores.
I think the problem is that boys don t play to game plan, and push forward to much and show no repect to there opponent. Sides Like Mitchell Park, Henley show a gr8 set of team rules and game plan as they work as a team and can push forward and also push back to defend when ball is turned over, Mitchell Park contested ball gets are awesome and strength thru midfield is there key, on weekend Henley ran the ball well and used link up down the wings, and if it was not for bad kicking at goals score could have been lot worst for Angle Vale.
Another thing is last year Div 7 was not as strong and this year the competion is alot closer.
Each week when you read team sheets Angle Vale always has a few changes, and at the moment flu has riped thru club over last few weeks and alot of players are also playing with no confidense.
I belive Angle Vale should play finals but at the moment i would be thinking a 4/5th position on the ladder but over next 3 weeks they encounter Shoc, TTG and Modbury 3 tough games and defining games for there season.

Question for others what is the thoughts on shoc this year they sitting at 4 and 2?

SHOC have a team of kids. Average age of 22 and are working together a bit better now. Next 3 are AV, Henley and TTG. They are tall and have a good young ruckman in Tom Alder who is very good in the air. They run all day and will be accountable but I think they lack the experience to run with their next 3 quality opponents. In the back 9 with these 3 games to finish I don't think they can make the 5. But wet weather is a great leveller and there will plenty of surprises to come over the next 6 weeks. I don't think Div 7 is any stronger this year, just a bit more even and certainly more physical.

On the Div7r looks like flinders park are going well, they won c6 last year and look like they are going to be very hard to beat again this year in this grade.Speaking to a few of them and they rated c6 a better standed last year than Div 7r,but going on the c grade who dominated c3 they a mid table in Div7 so big step up.

Yeah D's are going OK but still to play a few of the better sides in this div. We do have a better side than last year in the D's but also i noticed a few of the lads that played in the c6 GF last year for SHOC running around in the Div 7 side. If you take the top 4 out of c6 last year it was very ordinary at best. I wouldn't think they are getting too carried away. Anyway big game for us in C grade this week. Still struggling for numbers as per the last few weeks so it will be an interesting day. This will define our season as we have the two of the best teams over the next few weeks. Still can't see anyone getting near MP. I know i will getting on the web to check the scores of the MP v Henly clash ASAP.

No supersonicgun, that would be Brett James who has been promoted from the D grade. Mind you, he now feels 10 foot tall, thanks to you.

Just like to say thanks to the Henley FC for their patience and understanding yesterday. A burst water pipe left the club with no water and no toilet facilities for the start of the reserves. Water was sourced from a local club fan and a porta loo from a local supplier. The MP club manager was quick to act and a plumber was called after SA water said they couldn't fix it. The lad got it done in time for the A grade game and hot showers were back on the agenda. Shows why Henley are a professional club, so thanks to all.

Well done yesterday Parkies. With no McDonnell playing I thought it was the best performance of the year to beat a pretty good Henley side by 10 odd goals.

Agree morell. I thought our work rate right around the ground was as good as it has been all year, Henley will bounce back quickly though, they have good strengths. Did like Boucher, big, strong and dynamite with ball in his hands inside 50.

No 25. Started in the back pocket to set up their defensive run and finished up in the square. If he could train he would be in their A's. Quality player.

Stiff played a great game, good to see him starting to mature and take advantage of his talent.

Super impressed with the standard overall, Henley have some very tidy footballers who can dispose of the football extremely well.

What did you think of the day overall marbles?
