Obviously the big one - see how the Farm have progressed and whether they will live up to the off season hype.
Also the return of Smithfield to two sides, a massive step forward for the proud club.
Personally I wouldn't expect too much from either side in terms of level of performance, in particular the doggies, this is their 1st opportunity to work on their new game plans and structures and I believe it will take a couple of games before everyone fully grasps them under game situation and intensity.
I do however believe that everyone will see a significantly fitter Farm side than previous seasons with a far better attitude and greater unity.
The coaching staff at Rowe Park have done a superb job structuring the preseason - something that has clearly been lacking over the past 4 years..

Hope Valley v Woodville South @ Woodville South
Might give you a chance to see the team you will play in the GF![]()
I'm quite pumped to get back into it this weekend. Should be a good hit out, although I don't know how the body will hold up!
I'll be running around in the Magoos so if anyone wants to meet up for a beer let me know.

I was told Central United won easily and the so called star didn't even play by a couple of blokes I know who were there and went to listen to him speak to the team and couldn't even here what the coach was saying![]()
I'm also lead to believe that North Pines had a heap of blokes that didn't even play for them playing including port adelaides under 18's captain and vice captain wonder what port would say about that. Also a couple from Nhill on nearly $1000 a game and a couple of Gumeraca players also makes you wonder why they would bother playing them.
Yes we had Ports U/18 vice captain play for us and I doubt we will see him all season but I am lead to believe that if for some reason he doesn't get a game for port he will be out with us. Hopefully for his sake we never see him out with us. We had 2 other blokes play for us who I now know we will never see again, Freddy Agius and Trevor Harraldine. I had never met either before Friday night and was unsure who they actually were before the game. All others who played, definately in the last 3 quarters are all a chance to be playing with us at Nth Pines.
As for the game Central United looked really good and I was glad that in patches we held our own. I wish Dutchy, Barnsey and all at Central United the best of luck for the season ahead.
Does Bimbo have anything to do with Nth Pines?

Is that i am hearing right, has this game been called off as the council wont let them play on the ground with a uncovered pitch?
Maybe Ingle farm might have to put in a call to North Pines! I hear they are looking for another game!

Dont think Smithfield have any more cricket games at the ground this year do they? Also didn't Salis West cover their pitch for a trial game last year and had cricket the next day? Used fake turf or something? hmm i dunno..
