I think the league will be alot closer this year, the farmers have improved from last year, they were right in the game until the last 10 min on satdi, couple more games in their legs and they should be able to play out all 4 quarters and be competitive. It will be good to see how far BOS have come since we faced off in D7 for the first time. If Kenilworth knock off the units this week you would consider them front runners, United put up a hell of a fight in round 1 and by beating Glenunga who seem to be highly fancied this year they have shown they will be right in the mix come finals time. Its going to be a very interesting year, Bring on the next 16 weeks of footy!!! :D

would be interested to hear your views tl23 on how bos compare and what's changed.
my personal view, and some may disagree and no offence to the current group, i think our list in 2006/2007 was a little better across the board than currently. there's been a lot of change as happens at most clubs over 4-5 years.
however the likes of millikan, sonogan, rugari * 2, swiderski, parente, battams were fine players. spry, hillman * 2, glenholmes still there now but in particular millikan, sonogan and battams were prime movers and big blokes for us back then.

I think thats fair Sprint, the team BOS had in 2007 was amazing. No team really got close when we were full strength. Had plenty of winners in pretty much all positions that year, always wondered how we would of went with that 07 team in our first year of div 5.

forgot to mention your good self in '07, memorable mark in the 3rd quarter of the GF as i've mentioned numerous times. Also M Brincat in '07 saved our QF game in the dying moments.

Brincats game saving smother was amazing, I bet Olsen has never played on in the goal square since that day!

Any tips for the reserves...Are the Uni sandbaggers at it again this season or were CLG lacking depth last week?

CLG B grade last week very undermanned..same for this week..19 players unavailable this week for both grades for various reasons

Feeling the pain zed, our A Grade has 7 outs from last weeks thanks to weddings, holidays and goddamn injuries ](*,)

No player will ever play two games (as much as I'd like to  ). B Grade should have enough.

You know Plugger? Not sure if he is having a run, but I reckon I'll bump into him on Coopers Hill tonight and I'll hit him up then.

i know its a bit early for this sort of stuff and im happy to be proven wrong in the weeks to come but im so very very bored at work tonight and thought i would do a quick review/overview of how i think the season will pan out.

kenilworth are the clear favourites in this division. their defeat of blackfriars last week, while only being round two puts out an obvious warning to the rest of the division.

Blackfriars even though being beaten on the weekend still come in as second favourites, looked very polished when they played us with a good mix of inside and outside players. aparently still have a ruckman to come back in as well.

trinity CLG central united houghton and glenunga I think you could throw a blanket over, perhaps trinity just ahead of central united and glenunga at this stage due to knocking off CU and CU beating glenunga last week. Hard to say where CLG are going to fit until we play one of those four sides. Houghton may just be behind CU and glenunga but could knock of either up at their home ground which will be a fortress the further into winter it gets.

Ingle farm just behind the above mentioned 5 but will give each of those sides a run for their money this year. look to have improved a lot since last year and the days of 20 goal losses may well be behind them for this year.

personally I cant see either henley or adelaide uni avoiding relegation this year unless ingle farm fall in a heap. while very competitive against us on saturday the early rounds will be as good as they are going to be after injuries in the higher grades take a toll.

couldn't agree more with Kenilworth being the front runner, we will see who number 2 is after tomorrows match between TOS and BOS. 3 big matches tomorrow, Kenilworth to prove their billing as no 1 in the comp if they beat a very good Central United side. If we get up against Blackfriars that should put us not too far behind. Houghton v Glenunga will tell us whether the raiders are ready to mix it with the top teams in d6. Tomorrows games should give a good indication of where the league will head this year.

great come from behind win for TOS today!! We were behind for most of the match and in a see sawing last quarter that saw both teams take the lead, Spurr kicked the winning goal with not long left. BOS looked a solid and aggressive side and their players showed great spirit for the whole game and will feel very hard done by not coming home with the points today. it was good to see big Michael "Ziggy" Zorich suit up for his first game of the season, hopefully we will see more of him after deciding to put basketball aside this year. 3-0 for both grades going into the easter break is a great result for the club.
