They did. Very strange that Para Hills were picked to win against them also.

Dont think it that strrange really, Para hills our their are tough to beat and seaton are good but will be tested out their for sure. Playing out there is not a lot of fun and the seaton young ones wil find it tough going. I think Para Hills might be the smoky of the weekend although I can see why people think seaton

Watched a clinic today up at St Ignatius College as Old Iggies beat Kilburn by about 150 points. Certainly didnt expect that big a margin before the game!

Halfway through the 1st quarter it was 3 goals to 2, but Kilburn only kicked 1 more goal for the rest of the day. Iggies B grade won by a similar margin, while Kilburn's C grade forfeited. It would seem Kilburn is lacking some depth in their playing stocks.

Great game of football today between the Lions & PAOC and the Reds were just good enough in the end. Congratulations to them as they were the best side on the day and deserved to win. After speaking with a few of the PAOC supporters during the afternoon, they thought they were lucky to win last week against iggies. apparently kicked 3 goals in 3 minutes to win the game. If that be the case then Iggies after belting Kilburn today would look to be the team to beat along with CBC, PAOC and Seaton and maybe the Lions. Early season favs in Para and Portland look like duds

I didnt see a second of our game today, but was getting updates via text. From what im told, a couple of red cards have cost us AGAIN when the game was in the balance. Not sure when or if we will ever learn...

Maybe we arent as good as some of our blokes think we are.

Rough on Para Hills to call them duds - think they have come up against 2 good sides.

Favourites in who's eyes. We at no stage have touted us as being premiership favourites.

Improved effort by the boys yesterday but we cant keep giving sides 6 goal starts and expect to win. 6 goals to 1 at quarter time and lost by 27 points. Should get a few players back over the next few weeks and hopefully start to get our season on track.
Surprised by the size of the Seaton team, expected a few more bigger bodies but they moved the ball very well and capitalise on any f**k ups you make. Good game of footy (except the first quarter of course)

Yep, red cards were dished out to the players caught swinging fists. 2 portland players and one mitcham. From what it looked like, maybe some leadership issues at Portland? The whole incident was brewing ever since the Portland coach picked the ball up as it went out of bounds and threw it into the face of the Mitcham captain. Can't really blame players when coaches are setting such poor examples themselves.

The umpires were the worst iv seen for some years now, 2 kids who had no idea on how to take control of the game! The game was held up several times with the field umpires trying to confirm with goal umpires, if it goes through the middle post high, you can be confident it was a goal!!!!! Amature League need to look at this closely over the next few weeks or red cards will be a plenty

Red cards will be plenty?! Why? Because your players can't control their tempers? Should the umpires start telling your players they are idiots when they make ball handling errors?! Umpires have been bad in the past and will continue to be bad - but to use them as an excuse to throw punches - well then maybe you should look at your coach and see if he can set some discipline - because like it or not this is 2010 and throwing punches just isn't tolerated anymore. Find some discipline or be prepared for more pain from umpires and scoreboards. Seems some teams will never learn because if you keep blaming others for your lack of discipline then you will never have the success you think you deserve nor have respect from any opposition.

Para Hills were very good Saturday, yes they were 6 goals to 2 down at qtr time & 10 goals to 7 down at half time.
Just when Seaton looked like running away with it Para Hill had other ideas & the momentum shift swung their way.
Seaton showed good composure when threatened early in the last to get on top once again & win by 4 & a half goals
Scott Bamford was very good for Para Hills picking up a lazy 39 posessions & always uses them effectively.
Their CHF Flynn doesn't need alot of ball to hurt you as he's a very strong mark & very rarely misses especially outside 50.
Thanks to the boys down there for the beers they put on for the team after the game back at their club, the lads enjoyed the day & look forward to doing the same in return when we meet at Ram Park.

Hardy Hit, is that the same coach you blokes put 3 players on in the GF, and he single-handedly made you blokes look stupid ? That premiership medal is gone HH, you blokes didnt really deserve to there in the first place, so move on...

Looks like everyone is getting into the Portland boys. Think some of it is a bit personal and Clubs such as portland will come good. HH you seem to have a grudge against the portland coach. as i dont know who he is so I cant comment but surely great Clubs like Portland would know bout there coach and do something IF there was something wrong and thats not saying there was anything as i said IF. You had your win yesterday now shut up and show some humility. PS - have not heard anything about the coach so until i do or see wont pass judgement. Give me a fortnight and maybe will pass comment.

i just found it a touch odd that the little bloke from mitcham who threw the first punch in the blew didnt get sent off but 2 of our blokes did and the bloke that got red carded for mitcham was just braking it up, im well aware that we weone of the best cre undisipline fot that 4 or 5 mins when it all happened but hardy hit you blokes were no angels by any stretch.

and on our coach, one of the best coaches i have played under and super passionate about footy, i recall last year after we beat you on your deck our coach going to shake your coaches hand and your coach wouldnt shake his hand and acted like a 7 year old girl. yake care of your own backyard before you and we will worry about ours
