It's hard work for sure BB but that's half the fun isn't it !! And the turn outs have been fantastic... especially for a training location 20 odd k's away... But I'm loving the running and pushing myself as hard as I can !!
All I can say is that after 3 sessions (and some healthier eating) I have dropped 3 kilos already...

Dont get me wrong i love the hard work. Just not quite where i wanted to be in terms of aerobic capacity at the moment. Had a few solid runs before we started training but they were a bit misleading to where im actually at.

One thing im pumped about is the enthusiasm of the whole group. We havnt had this much 'pep' and excitment in a while. Massive numbers for a session in town. Hope it keeps growing. Would love to see 40+ at the beach next week!

Le Bike is booked in for a service at JT's next week. Need to get back into that, even if its only a 100km ride a week. Swimming does it for me Choc. If i can get back to doing 2-3km 2-3 times a week then i might start to resemble my peak fitness again. Once i get my ass back in the pool next week ill start to get some progress. Gotta get this shoulder sussed out though. Few problems with my rotator cuff. Thats what i get for skipping a gym week though. Bloody Exams

Side note: im thinking of running a few "learn to lift" classes out of my home gym for the boys. Teach them to lift properly, to the big lifts properly and give them a few top end hints that a PT wouldnt know. Reckon wed get a bit of interest?

Another side note: Details about next years black tie ball will be released at training tonight!!!

You might do with some of the younger lads BB. I'd be pretty sure that their techniques wouldn't be sound so that may help them lift properly.

Yes the black tie ball !! mmm... sounds good... ;)

Oh I'm sure there's blokes out there wasting plenty of hours in the gym lifting incorrectly and doing more harm than good... and I guess there's other simple things to do better like slower push ups and sit ups that done properly are much more effective.

No worries mate. I'll run for you ;)

What's the go with your lights now lads? I remember watching you playing Blackfriairs underlights to open a season, can you still play night footy with the new setup or just day games in 2010?

TT, they've thrown you over mate! Don't think their trial will be against TTG given the way the new or ex coach feels.

We wont be on the new oval in 2010 anyway so i guess the night games could still happen, dont think the A and B grade had one last year from memory?

I remember the trial we had up there a couple of years ago underlights, was a really good night. Would be good to get something similar for some premiership points.

Yeah that is a shame if it's true. But I guess each coach probably has contacts/handshake arrangements at other clubs when it comes to trials so I guess we just play who we're told to play. You are right tho... the night trials are good fun...

Could definitely play under lights Pag, no issues there I don't think. 2009 saw no night games nor any triple headers which was a real shame and probably a real oversight by the club IMO. The atmosphere generated by these games is great and I think not playing them was a real disappointment to the lads this year....
