It is true that alot of bullshit whinging comes from college sides, so it was great to watch two CLUBS go at it.
Cox, Dempsey, Forest, Rowlands, Hinsley, Big Hood & Little Hood best for Haven. Good to see the Senior and Junior players playing well. Good signs.

was a cracker of a game played in great spirit!
haven Vs portland rivalry building meeting after meeting...
portland very unlucky to be 0-3
can see why portlands coach got the flick from Unley, the morron had a crack at one of
havens players for pulling out of a contest after the game on the oval and another haven
player stuck up for his mate and the portland coach wanted to have a crack at him!

Cboc away then Pac, the boys at thunder park may well be 0-5, would be hard to make the finals from there

Hey boys u may as well make that 3 times in 3 wks as the 1st round against our A's at the 1st centre bounce he whacked a young bloke from us on the jaw & gave him a spray! Funny though as our young bloke just looked at him, laughed & said is that all u f*#%ing u got & their coach didnt say much to him after that.

Hey boys anyone got any news from any Ressie's round 3 games?
We played Pultney at our home with both sides & umps lining up before the start of each game to listen to the last post which was a nice touch & always sends a shiver down my spine when i hear it but remembering our ANZAC'S who gave up so much with their own lives so we all can enjoy what we have today is what its all about!
We ended up getting our 2nd win on the board by 4 goals which was good but they are a big side & it was a good hit out with plenty of free flowing footy, physical pressure & hard contests applyied from both sides & was played in good spirits. Again with 9 changes in our line up we skipped away early to a very handy half time lead, but to Pultneys credit they came back in the 2nd half & fought the game out well so i think they will give a few sides a run for their money this season & think they probally be in the mix of about 6 sides at the business end of the season!
Bring on round 4 boys as the next few weeks should tell everyone where they are at hey!

Oh how this after the A grade game the Pultney boys were all sitting around on the oval doing warm downs, different to see!

Good morning boys, Haven too good on the weekend. It was a tough, hard game. The lack of a winning forward didnt help our cause, Haven's backline was good. Dempsey by far Haven's best player.

I was right there when this so-called incident happened after the game. If you think that is someone snapping, then you might want to get a reality check. All that was said was a few quiet words to a bloke as he went past that he 'sherked' an issue. Anyone one who saw it couldnt deny that. If anyone snapped, it was the Haven bloke who started carrying on and threatening (mind you, he made sure his team-mates were between him and the bloke he was having a go at!). A minor incident in my eyes anyway. Just a few words exchanged.

While we are talking about coaches, what happened to yours Haven lads ? Now, i know you will say he has stepped aside because of work issues, but my sources tell me he reckons you blokes are as weak as p!ss, and lazy, and he had enough. Footy director gone too ?
Anyone want to elaborate ?

Agreed it was a good game of footy, it looked as though Portland were gonna come home in the last qtr but i thought Demps stood up when it was needed and had some really important touches...
Portland needed a forward to take a mark...
I saw Hamsy at the game, why was he given the marching orders?

Haven's B grade a much improved side from previous years, a genuine top 5 chance i reckon. Get plenty of numbers back in defence, which makes it hard to score against them - they played at least 2 loose against us. We have scraped home with 3 wins, all against good opposition IMO. Very happy to have not dropped one yet.

The main difference from what I saw was the fact haven had some good small crumbers up forward and portland did not. Granleese a stand out for me got them back in the game in the third quarter. As for the weak as piss player who pulled out on the wing in the last quarter, he deserves a spray, haven boys should have sprayed him then Portland coach would not have had to do it.

Dont think the bloke needs to shamed on here, he and his team-mates (and anyone else who saw it) know who it is.
