Right or wrong they told us at the start of the year and every second newsletter reminds us that umpires and head high stuff are on their radar.scottroo wrote:9 games for caving a guys face in? I heard the kenilworth player may not play again!
You can get 4 for swearing at an umpire!!!

In Round 2 a Broadview player who did the same thing as this Elizabeth player got 10 games.

And a North Haven player kicks a player in head while he is on the ground and only gets 7! Also heard plenty of umpires swearing at players, might have to start reporting them

The term king hit is an unexpected punch, generally from behind. The punch this year was during a push and shove so technically you should be expecting contact. The one last year that Jetters would be talking about would be when an Unley player ran into the eliz player and got a broken jaw.

What a load of rubbish your comment is, just because there is some push and shove doesn't mean you should expect a punch in the face. You do realise it is football where striking is not part of the game, if you want to punch and fight dare I say that there are sports designed for that. Rubbish post by you!!

I feel your response to the fact your club, on multiple occasions in recent times, has put an opposition player's health in serious jeopardy is inadequate.
Your 'prudent' response to the first incident was to allow the player back into your ranks and to again play for the Elizabeth FC.
Will you continue this course of action the second time, or will you deem it necessary to take stronger (being anything at all) action on this occasion? Or perhaps you will just wait for it to happen a third time.....
What steps have you taken to 'totally rub[...] out' this issue your club has?
Love Jetters.

From the History Pages
"Whilst there is no suburb called Kenilworth in Adelaide, at the turn of the century the Parkside area was subdivided and some of the streets were named after characters in Sir Walter Scott's novel Kenilworth, including Foster, Robsart, and Leicester, not to mention Kenilworth Road."

Kenilworth FC isnt in or near Parkside? What does that have to do with how the club got its name?
