Adelaide Footy League Talk

only name that springs to mind from the hawks is Jolly but if the ruckman is looking for a game, grab him. They are hard to find these days (good and bad ones). He'd have played in the A's finals last few years if he played A'grade and that'd count for something.

maybe you could list hom many memebers, sponsors, committ, and life memebers are no longer at the club wholly and soley because of him, not for other reasons but because of him

FootyMad, who are you trying to impress dropping big stories like this? There is an advertisement in today's paper for a media role with the SAAFL, you seem to be a genuine newsbreaker, this role would be perfect for you.[/quote]

I will certainly look into it, if your impressed young fella then my job is done. I've actually recently (last night) had this 'big story' confirmed, pitty, he's a great footballer!!! Word has it all he has been doing is weights and can't wait to pull on the boots again.

Actually, now that I think about it. Im trying to impress falcon chick - she might be hot!

Pete Smith dominated A2 in 06 and whilst he will find it a bit tougher in D1, he is still a class act and very hard to stop. true he has probly gambled away more money than Simon Goodwin, but he is a superstar !

Yep he will be there!

Anyone know if Gepps have picked up much. If DIV2 teams are to be competitive when they go up, they need at least 6 quality recruits, with 3 of them being guns. all to often teams like seaton/districts/edwardstown go up and down like yo yo's not recruiting enough !!

From what I've heard they haven't picked up much at all apart from Spehry but i'm not even sure if he's committed if anything they have lost a couple.

Seems to be quite a few playesr going to Districts! Who have they lost???? Had a fairly decent team last year (beat Goodwood at home if I recall), just couldn't get the wins on the board.

Gepps have picked up three gun midfielders from the Riverland

Pat Portolesi - Loxton
Matthew and Jason Barry - Loxton North

Barry boys in North's top 10 - played in 2005 premiership
Portolesi - in top 15 - played in 2006 premiership.

Good consistent hard ball players

Surely questionable trying to get these blokes into the centre bounce rotation in Div 1 from the Riverland League, it will be a step up thats for sure. Clonan will still be the main man in the middle at gepps.

No doubt Clonan is the man for Gepps, I heard he can't travel overseas cos he can't get through customs cos he's a gun! one of the most underrated players in the whole Amateur League.

Footymad I'm starting to thinking I may know you we seem to know the same people in Clonan and Grossmann??
