i agree schimma..where has the new coach got runs on the board? just curious..

Won 2 or 3 premierships has a winning record of about 85%. Yes in B grade at Walkies but still winning

Not sure where u got that info from but the first 2 trainings we have had this week 24 on Monday and 27 last nite 98% were A graders. From what i know we may lose 2 or 3 players. 1 may go play lower div for coin and 1 maybe heading to NT and the other to Uni. We've picked up another ruckman and may have a bloke frm SANFL back. 2 of the blokes easily replaced by blokes in the bs

You've just gone from saying '5 or so' to 'at least 3' are moving. Given that high degree of certainty I'll believe it when I see it.

It's early days and I'm sure a few will come and go but so far there's been a great turnout to pre-season sessions with all the familiar faces keen to get into it.

Personally I don't knock someone leaving for one reason or another but I know Mitcham footy club is a great place to be and they'll always be welcome back.

You blokes should make sure your mates ask how many points Walkies have got to play with. Last year I reckon they ran at anywhere between 13 - 15 on any given Saturday. So lets say they drop a 3rd of those as players drop a point each year, that only brings them down to 8 - 10 then add other recruits and then the Mitcham blokes which I presume are A graders so a couple of them might find themselves starting at 12:15. I'd be sure they're not being told that little scenario.

Seems the APPS might be working after all if it keeps blokes at the Hawks :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Honestly sit behind ur keyboard and start rumours. Why don't u give names!!! Westy has been out once to training and has been told its open slather if anyone leaves and goes to walkies. He knows that and he wouldn't do that to Mitcham considering his business is still a sponsor of the club. So it's good to see u have no clubs you follow, so why don't u give us a few names

What rumour have I started? I was simply stating an obvious flaw in Walkies recruiting strategy that Mitcham could use if in fact you did have any blokes thinking of defecting. That said, clearly not simple enough for you though ;). As for clubs, I appreciate they are not very good clubs but which bit don't you understand about Sturt and the Crows being my clubs I follow.

I reckon Hollywood might have quoted the wrong reply there. He's not yet acclimatised to using the internet given he grew up when sending messages via telegraph was a new idea.

Yeah sorry bout that i clicked on the wrong quote it was meant for 'Its cold outside', seeing as he doesnt have which team he follows, and starts rumours without giving names.
Im from the old era where we used a can and string for a telephone, so the internet is a completely new thing for me.

OK im confused :? (yep it doesnt take much)....Where are we on Mitcham as the previous posts have confused me, are they going to get relegated or are they going to win the premiership???
Also i would assume that Westy who you are saying is now a Cat will be forced to serve his suspension for the first however many weeks remain and wont actually be coaching in the first month?
The PNU Falcs 2005,06,13 x 2,14 and Div 1 Premiers in 2019......The SA 3peat - 2003,04,05

bit early to make that call. We might lose a few players here and there, but we will also pick up a few. Have secured the services of a very handy FF to stock up the forward line even more so! Would assume Westy will be sitting out the fist 5 weeks at the cats!

Hows this for a rumour. Smosh apparently have recruited 2 players from Henley, 2 from Port Districts and a 6.8 Ruckman from Essendon, plus Campo is going to play. Could be the side to beat in 2012? Can any SMOSH players confirm? SW?

Would that ruckman be Christian bock? Struggled in the 2s at woodville but would surely dominate div 3 if true. Would be a big fall from grace to be on essendons rookie list not long ago

Ruckman from essendon. haha Simon Madden retired a long time ago. But it could be Bocky as he is mates with a lot of smosh players. Not sure about that one. as for Campo. its still week by week. depends on his coaching duties. As for the others we have not started training so bit to early to call. But i have heard we have picked up another ruckman. Team to beat is a little early to call. The Raggies and PNU would have a bit to say about that, Along with Mitcham, and a very quiet Seaton.

The (Bock) Choy is playing at the eagles spoke to him at the pub on sundiy. Jarrod 'Boofa' Wright is the new ressies coach out at the eagles and those 2 are good mates. Boof seems to think he will be playing league footy. Think the AFL dream is still alive with the choy.

Plus the topic of $ in amateur footy came up and im positive no club in SAAFL could come up with those figures.

Did u catch names of the blokes recruited? Signed?

Schimma if the blokes r signed surely u can let us in on it.....

SMOSH are definite favs for the flag, last season was a very good stepping stone into this season.
