Oh no doubts at all there Captain Obvious.... I remember all the stories of his halcyon days cutting it up in C6. Hopefully when we play SMOSH this year he is there so I can get my tube of KY autographed !!

Boys are looking forward to flinders this week

Yeah your probably right, but hopefully it will last all season this time then go out in straight sets again...

That is really all you have isnt it ? a2m move on, you won your flag, our d grade lost both finals games, big deal its done.

Great win yesterday, was good to play with the boys in the D's and to not be one of the oldest in the team ;) Looking forward to this season should be fun. Flinders will be tough to beat from all reports? anyone know much about them old/young side??

Dont no about the whole team but i went and watched them play mitcham on sat and they had some old blokes out there coz oldman klompy was playing for them, had some good young runners too but in this grade as you no teams change every week. Was a good game to watch but flinders won the game in the 2nd & 3rd qrts rest of the game was what you would exspect in round 1 c6,abit scrappy.

Cheers 1 club, considering they won C5 last year I think, we assume they would be a tough game.

The MLFC would like to welcome Mitcham FC to Mawson Lakes Hotel Oval this Saturday as part of our first ever triple header. We'd like to thank Mitcham's assistance in starting early this week (10:15am) to accommodate our big day, in particular the cooperation of Mitcham President Mark Caesarowicz. It will be a big day for our Club and hopefully that predicted rain stays away ;)

Is that ex Roosters Premiership Player Marc Marshall in Golden Grove's 'D' Grade? See he kicked 11 on the weekend and although getting on a bit, would be way too good for this grade.

I think one of our guys who stood on him Saturday for a bit said he's the best player he's ever played on and our bloke used to play A grade back in the day when we were in higher divs.

Yep you are spot on there. Marshy played A's last year after doing pre-season and giving it one last crack but seeing as he is in his early 40's and his body not really holding up, hammies in particular, he has decided to just have a kick in the D's this year. Trust me, I have asked him to play B's.... A great player and a great club man to boot. It's just good to have him in our group.
