Believe half of what you hear and very little that you read, that saves a lot of worry for everyone. If there is evidence of "rumour mongering" within a club seek out the source and address it.
In acemans defence, be hard to find a club of any sort where the rumour mill doesn't slip into overdrive every so often. Forums like Facebook I believe are used to perpetuate the rumours IMO
Lets be honest Clever Dick on this site 90% is absolute garbage and the other 10% is more than likely the truth. In this case just to add my view, I don't know jason Roe nor do i have anything to do with the Gepps Croos football club however what i do know is that if you start chasing players who are playing for the wrong reasons they can turn a good club bad in a very short period. What i have read and to be honest heard Gepps had alot of " Uncoachable lads" Playing for them last year. Sometimes a change is something a playing group needs maybe this may be the case. Last but not least what on earth has facebook got to do with anything?

Not sure on either your info or your theory. Let the season take it's course eh! Come back in August 2011 for further discussion.

mate never played footy for gepps, my info is from a very good source and theory well if your in the bottom half you cant afford to lose to many players. im lead to believe there wasnt much respect for the former coach judging by his depature and the rumours that swept the place. i wonder who started them and as for injured players sometimes you just cant help bad luck.

Okay so you're good mates with one who has chosen to go elsewhere. No club can afford to lose players, it happens every year in most clubs but it's only November.
As for your last bit, that was the coaches call, noone else and footy clubs survive on rumours, nothing new with that bit.
They may have been started by the same person for all we know. Injuries, yep but some people seem to get more than others which is unfortunate, nought can be done about that.
what a load of crap footy clubs survive on rumours, some of the rumours mentioned can destroy friendships, marriages and families. the club should of stood up and found out who started the gossip and arsed them out of the club. why would the coach start them about himself, the more i hear the more it sounds to me that someone with in the DFR walls started them. anyway im not good mates with anyone at the club just hate to see clubs **** on people especially after good service has been given.
ive heard similar stories to come out of the gepps cross footy club it was extremely unprofessional how the previous coach was removed and now its happened again i wouldnt want to be invovled with a club like that ,and its probably why the club has such a poor name in the footy circles and i know of several players who wont even go there for an interview ,

Districts are big on club culture aren't they mate
Are the C Grade allowed in the building yet or are still only permitted under the verandah?

The C grade are very well looked after thanks Boosh, occasionally they even throw us a few hot chips out under the verandah

Care to elaborate on this bit? It will be interesting to hear.
FYI, the 2010 coach made himself unavailable and would have been reappointed if not going interstate. Incidentally, if your profile is correct, I'd be worried a bit about that club if I were you.

There fringe players should stay there in my opinion and the club should do the best to keep them because it gives them the opportunity to step up because you learn more as player and as club when your backs against the wall, then when your front runners. Thats how you find the trully loyal club people and great players.
You have got to be be kidding right ?? Loyalty goes 2 ways and Salisbury North has never been loyal to any player or supporter since a certain person therel set up his puppets and hijacked the club with his change of consituation back in th 90's !

The only time they appear to be loyal to anyone is when they can profit or benefit from them in some way ... other than that they dont give a SH&T about anyone except themselves (The Executives) who most of them have their own agenda.

And the way they treat their Cricket Club.

They are more interested in their restuarant and pokies than any sports that are played there.

Its much nicer out there anyway LMA, to many tumble weeds and crickets in the club rooms.

Is Matthew Phillips staying at Salisbury North next season? How many have they actually lost? Cutting, Jordan, Pape, Hazeldine, Mardling, Walker, Laurencic have all been mentioned

there has been mention of matty moving on but i dont think anything is set in stone, mardling walking and Laurencic definatly gone, also heard brad and Mick Hood along with a couple of other fringe players looking for new homes

Mick and Brad are welcome back at Havens :) anytime, top lads.

Not sure about Matt though, any man who uses sweet chilli dip as hair product is a worry ;)

Pre-season started on Monday, and will be on again tonight, with optional Friday night sessions.
They have lost a few players, but have a lot of depth, and should be able to cover their losses.

Have heard there is a fair bit of movement from TTG this year. Cochrane (B&F 2010) offered plenty up Gawler way. Van Ristel to Gaza, Trevena exploring a move to the Sunshine in QLD. Will test their depth, but apparently signed a 6 7 tall from somewhere. If true will be a big test for the Wolves, but in their favour, they are probably the strongest junior club in SA at the minute.

Harding too good a player to abandon a possible SANFL career to play A1 at his age. Whilst handy player for TTG, you would have thought a wiser head would have told him to have a crack. Re Cochrane, no idea whether he has signed for anyone else, but has been offered big money to play for Gawler something. Why would Dylan Olive got to Gaza to play A1 Res??
