Noticed George Long is back suiting up for the bulls, played a bit of footy with him in the past and can seriously play on his day is a huge recruit for Pooraka, i know he has had some groin troubls over the years can anyone from pooraka inform us weather it has effected his legspeed or length in kick because as a junior was lightning quick and gave the sherrin a fair roost

Only Police Academy ones this week.... I think we had Commandant Lasard and Tackleberry... a couple of guys we got a few times last year who hadn't really improved much..

Still kicks the sh!t out of the ball, and still has good leg speed for a bloke his size. Should know - played on him for 3 quarters.

Great game at Mitcham but another 1 goal loss late :(
PH were slow out the blocks and Mitcham made us pay early kicking a few unanswered goals.
We managed to peg them back late in the first and there wasa few points in it come quarter time
The second term was all Para Hills and Jason Nuske had the ball on a string and was giving our forwards first use and Thachy was everywhere and finished off kicking 3 goals for the quarter.
We were up by 3-4 goals at halftime and had all the play in the first half of the 3rd but didnt convert it on the coreboard and Mitcham kicked 3 goals in the last 5 minutes of the quarter and clawed back to within a goal
The last quarter saw the lead change 5-6 times and after having our player sent off and down to 17 men in the end Mitcham got up by 1 straight kick.
Had 2 whistle happy kids umpire the game and were too easily persuaded by players and crowd
and gave away contensious free kicks at crucial stages but didnt look after Flynny who coped alot of attention and was double and triple teams all game

Hmm sounds like this is becoming a bit of a trend to not give any favours to the Big name forwards in this div, our CHF AND FF havent been given a thing by the men in white and neither have the 2 sides we have played against for that matter so sounds like they are letting a lot of these go this year, as long as its consistant (which it sounds like it is at this point) im happy for it to happen,

i would be very surprised if cbcoc made the finals this year, they are a worse team than they were last year and still look like they're quite happy jsut to bang the ball long and hope for a mark, played a pretty boring brand of footy on the weekend

Agree with you there bubba, i think the Div 3 comp as a whole is way down on last year, CBCOC have lost some important players as have Mitcham, Para Hills & Portland, you don't often see a side come up from Div 4 to Div 3 & dominate so it'll be interesting to see how Golden Grove & Pooraka go, both sides winning on the weekend prove its a very even comp & alot lesser standard to last year.

Nm i think you have got your info on Mitcham way off. We have lost our full back and a couple of fringe a grade players plus we get flanas back in a couple of weeks, even if it only for a short while. We have picked up some quality players to boost the a grade. 1 from Gaza, Athelstone, Central Whyalla. So we are in a better position than last year.

Mate a win is a win we got the 2 points and I would think you wouldn't want to be peaking in round 2 see how we go when we play them again and we start hitting our straps then. We didn't play the best game but good sides when aren't playing great footy always find a way to win and we did.

Just on Para Hills and the game on the weekend i think they will be a better team than what most think.
They controlled most of the game and they have fairly slick skills especially out of defence. They run hard and put pressure on the ball carrier which caused alot of mistakes from us.
Umpiring was Poor.
