Stephen White's going to worry a lot of teams - he is massive.

How was Jon Temme's form. I heard he played CHB. Don't think he's played in that possie too often.

his form at the alma saturday night was even better!

but no, looked very comfortable at CHB i think he could play anywhere and be good.
also coped whites elbow to the head, will be interesting how many the big fella gets. probably lost it for iggies by being sent off.

Let me guess...he opened his gullet, smashed about 4 pints and was then so done that he could hardly talk. Probably got naked at one stage as well.

It will be interesting to see the result at the tribunal. As Jimmy said, Stephen White is a massive unit, and allegedly elbowed someone to the head, yet the player required no treatment, did not have to leave the field and no-one from PAOC remonstrated with White. Was the red card perhaps an over reaction from the young umpire who made the call?

100% correct in saying the send off probably cost Iggies the game. Prior to that incident, Iggies led by 4 goals to nil, and PAOC seemed focussed on stopping White by dropping numbers back. Once he went off, it allowed PAOC to start attacking again, the goals followed and PAOC got back into the game.

Probably best not talking about the incident on here - comments on here have ended up in the tribunal room

no matter how big the bloke is, you at least go stick up for ya team mate!

I almost got killed in my first ever senior game when I was 15, filled in for the B's, some bloke hit my brother behind play and I went and pushed him, he was about to kill me.
Think a few big fellas like axe let the bloke know I was only a youngster!

The ball was being run out of the backlines so all eyes were looking forward and they were the last 2 players. None of the players from either side knew what had happened other than the 2 in question and the umpire who was, shall I say, left behind in the play.

Old Ignatians v Kilburn - i think kilburn are looking like having a tough year
Portland v Mitcham - should be close home ground advantage to get the thuner over the line
SMOSH West Lakes v Prince Alfred OC - huge game i think this will be, very close only going with smosh because of home ground advantage
Scotch OC v CBCOC dont no anything about either of these sides but just going by last weeks results
Para Hills v Seaton Ramblers after seeing seaton first hand last week, think they wil be hard to beat all year

Round 2 tips:

Old Iggies over Kilburn - 8 goals - OI to bounce back after a close lost last week
Mitcham over Portland - 3 goals - should be a close game, Mitcham's run and dangerous forward line to get them over the line.
SMOSH over PAC - 5 goals - SMOSH We're very good in the trial game, and should take care of PAC
CBC over Scotch - 2 goals - Get the feeling another close loss for Scotch coming up
Seaton over PH - 5 goals - PH to struggle again this week, even though they're playing at home!

Old Iggies v Kilburn - if Kilburn are going to go as poorly as most predict, you'd expect Old Iggies to get up comfortably.
Mitcham v Portland - always a close game between these two, and played with plenty of heart by both. Hawks by 1 point.
PAC v SMOSH - good result for PAC last week in there first game up, think they might just get up over SMOSH if they can shut down their game winners.
CBC v Scotch - Think/hope Scotch may struggle this year, and CBC's win last week was equally impressive over a decent PH side.
Seaton v PH - Seaton with a convincing win over Portland last week would have to go in favourites, PH to struggle but I'd say they've probably faced 2 tough games first up.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a few of these games go down to the wire, and last year showed just how important winning the close games can be. Can prove the difference between playing Div 4 and playing finals in some cases.

Credit to Kilburn on the weekend. Lots of people appear to have written them off, but they are no-where near as bad as people are making them out to be. Young running side who will go all day.

Old Iggies - Again, closer then people think.
portland - WIll get on the board ahead of ANZAC day clash.
SMOSH - Shoudl get over the line at Home in a close game, despite missing stars through injury :P
CBC - Tough gig for Scotch this week
Seaton - Ditto for Para Hills - would need to play out fo their skin to be a chance

Think lots of people are under-estimating the Ramblers - the clear Flag favourite IMO. Seems to be a lot of talk about SMOSH - a consistently strong div 3 side, Para Hills - impressive for the last few years - and Portland/PAC/CBC - all appear to have recruited well after having a good nucleaus of players. But Seaton have played division 1 or 2 footy for the the last decade (As far as I Know). They have a ltos of experience and play their small ground well with imrpessive contested footy. They have someone whos proven to be a good coach for their club, with past success (despite not getting that elusive premiership).

I know we won't be under-estimating them. In a very even competition I think they are the standout.

i agree with pretty much everything you have said there turbo, seaton IMO are definatly the measuring stick at the moment, if you can shut down the class of there midfied you have gone a long way to knocking them off.

Iggies too good for Kilburn, 10 goals plus
Portland to get over Mitcham, 5-6 goals
PAOC to beat SMOSH, 4-5 goals
CBCOC over Scotch, 4-5 goals
Seaton too good for Para Hills, 7-8 goals

Are PAC getting any players back this week. I heard they had their captains and vice captail out plus another 2 or 3 guns not playing last week.

And when will the Roo slot into the mix?
