What is happening out at Gepps, i know we haven't won a game yet, but i thought Gepps would be top 3 for sure this year. Sals Nth i think are real smokeys for a big year. Thats a great win out there.

mate we only won quarter the first i know why tyler is not at port when the going got tough he lost the plot

I went and watched The Salisbury North v TTG game and think Salisbury North are a real premiership threat...
Caught the second half of the B's and they seem to have alot of depth..
Warner and Thach were fantastic in the midfield in there 10goal win.

The A's got off to an absolute flyer and i thought it was gonna be a blowout, but to TTG credit they never gave up and clawed there way back into it and almost snatched it.
Coming back from a 8 goal deficit was always going to be hard, but they would have made the Salisbury North coaching staff nervous.
Only querie with Salisbury North was they seemed second rate as soon as it rained...
Joey Hay and Potticary were very good for the whole game while Pape was sensational early but faded in the second half

Were you there with me and a few other lads or own your own mate?

Pape had an outstanding first quarter, kicked four before quarter time. Rob Young went to him after that and shut him out of it, was probably best on the ground at full-back in a losing cause. Jordan presented really well across half forward all day, but Lads was right, sitting within earshot of the Salisbury North bench and listening to the huddle at 3/4 time, Tylor didn't really say anything all that constructive when Gullies were making their move.

Great Day had a Broadview oval for Anzac day. Big congrats to PNU players and supporters for supporting the day, i reckon there was close to 1500 or more people on hand to watch the game. Great atmosphere.
We got the chocolates and needed it too, talking to some PNU supporters during the game, they reckon they had 5 or so out, if thats the case, i think they are not far away from a win. A little undisciplined though. Thought Macca might have stamped that out a bit quicker.

we had a few more than 5 out. but we cant really keep using that excuse, as i'm sure you boys had some out too. it was a fair crowd to play in front of. its always fun copping a bit from the opposition supporters too (as i usually do). interesting characters in the crowd make the saafl what it is i think.

Henley by just over 5 goals. Tight match without result ever being fully in doubt. Districts probably worked a bit harder than the Henley boys but Henley showed a little more polish. Luke Pastyn recieved Anzac day medal for BOG from the umpires. Henley v Salisbury North at Salisbury this week will be a fascinating match that will let both clubs know how they are really going at this time of year.

Gaza vs SHOC
Salisbury Nth vs Henley
Payneham NU vs Gepps Cross
Goodwood vs Tea Tree Gully
Pt Districts vs Broadview

Thought i'd get in early with some cracker games this week!! Salisbury North vs Henley you could almost pick a draw such is the form of both sides. Gepps must win this week or may as well kiss any chance of finals goodbye, great side on paper Gepps and appear to have been unlucky the last 2 weeks. Goodies to strong for TTG, whats happening with Golding for TTG?? Hasn't played at all yet this year?? Broadies must make it back to back wins to get up near the 5 and stay away from the relegation zone, same with SHOC although can't see them getting over Gaza at Klemzig.

stickers cant agree with you about gepps being a great side on paper, they have lost many players from 2009 and havent replaced them with any where near the quality, and many of my contacts over there told me this before round 1. hopefully they win saturday and get things rolling

Was looking at PNU's team sheet yesterday and not one of the "crux" of the team was listed...

No Burrows, Borg, Martin, Rogers. I know Billy has given up A grade footy at least..

BOP, are they injured or resigned to the reserves? ;)

PNU had a very young side last week, looks pretty weird to someone like myself when the most experienced players are "kids" like Ty, Sven, Jolly, Cheney, Juzzy and Ryan Vivian.

The Radettis would be the "elder statesmen" of the team at the minute, wouldn't they? ;)

Suprisingly so. The 2 oldest in the team as it was on saturday. a very young line up it was.
Burrows- injured, Martin- work, Rogers- honeymoon,. it'd be very handy experience when they come back into the side.
Billy is still lurking around the place, waiting for his opportunity again with the A's :D

My mail is they have a very long injury list, but are going out of their way not to make it an excuse.

About time Texas made an honest woman out of her

Billy needs to listen to his body - and his feet  At least that's what I tell him anyway ;)

How has Cheese recovered from his nasty break? Saw him just before the GF last year and he was devo that he wasn't playing.

Anyhoo, chin up guys - it was never going to be easy - but I guess circumstances don't help, huh?

On the money as always TT.
Lost S Klenner( ret.)
C Clonan Walkies
J Taylor South Adelaide
S Cox Unley
Four quality players who would always be difficult to replace and noone appears to know why Chris & Coxy left, that's the worrying part, plenty of theories but nothing concrete.

Someone told me that they were leaving the club due to infighting and club culture, along with a couple of other non sinister reasons. Just what I was told ace, and maybe he was using any excuse to justify, but none the less he did say it.
