Hate to say it, but I can't see Golden Grove NOT going to Div 5 this year.

Looks like Heccies were far too good for the Demons yesterday. Big Prelim, GG V Heccies. Heccies look to be playing well and GG are coming of a loss.

Apparently not... :( Hectorville will go into the prelim pretty confident after a very good display against a lacklustre Hope Valley side. I think the eventual premier will come from the winner of this game. Either way, no more putting up with the cocky Blackfriars boys on the Div 6 forum. At least something for me to smile about  Well done to them for being promoted to Div 5. A good effort for a new club in it's 2nd year. A few more recruits and I reckon they will be more than competitive next year

It's time to reflect on the year and look to build on 4th position in 2008. I have complete faith in the already re-signed coaching staff and committee to recruit well, keep the existing list and make 2008 a year to look forward to.

I hear our coach from the previous 3 years, Mark Kamenic will be coaching Houghton next year. He's already trying to lure some of our players up the hill. Good luck doing that.

Now the whole club will get behind the B grade and hope they can have a win this week and square off with GG in the big one the following week. Blackfriars stand in our way

You boys must've played well mate congrats.. GG weren't cocky at all really, they were 4 goals to 1 (kicked on the siren) up in the 1st.. we just kept persisting and once we were level we knew we could over run them - they put all of it on the line in the first and we were a bit more fitter. one person who is cocky is there coach, reported for calling an umpire a f*@khead at half time coz the poor boy was under too much pressure.. it all starts at the top as far as i'm concerned and behavior like that lost the game for them, they got drilled at half time. who wants to play for a coach like that!

Cracker of a pre-lim all the same!
