SMOSH deserve to win today after finishing minor premiers but i'm not sure they will, Payenham have some very dangerous mids that put the ball in often to the big Jolly up fwd. Could be a big haul coming up from Jolly today which could end SMOSH's season.
I don't know when was the last time the top 2 sides (eg SMOSH, Seaton ) after finishing 1-2 end of minor round lost both their finals & bowed out in straight sets? Today looks like the day its going to happen.
Good luck to both sides, hope its not a one sided affair.

Anyone know where the GF will be played?

Div 2 should be at Thebby. Kilburn, Salisbury and Cambeltown usually get a gig.

My guess is div 4 at Cambeltown because it's closest to Scotch and Unley. Kenilworth may even be an option for them.

Div 3 can't be at Kilburn so that leaves us at Salisbury and div 5 at Kilburn.

TBS would be happy for Div 5 to be at Kilburn. good surface and facilities 8)

good effort by SMOSH.
Can someone who was at the game tell us how SMOSH went about fixing up Payenham.
I honestly thought Payenham would win but full credit to SMOSH they must of done their homework on the Falcons & carried it out to perfection.

I have NFI but I'm betting, based upon proximity and the premise that the higher grades get the better grounds:

D2 - The Barton
D3 - Campbelltown
D4 - Kenilworth
D5 - Salisbury } or Kilburn
D6 - Kilburn } or Salisbury
D7 - Payneham
D8 - HV

and I've run out of ovals for the rest 8-[ 8-}

Heard Salisbury Likely venue. Obviously prefer Thebby, Alberton, Richmond but unlikely.

We would LOVE a triple header and the club will be pushing for it. I know Broadies WIll want c/d Grade at teh same ground, but i think there more validity in C grade having the Opportunity to watch their A grade fight for a Senior premiership. Would be severely disappointing if the SAAFL don't come to the party on it.

Rumour has it Cibich on a flight home, and Ralston a certain inclusion for us, but Lions go in as massive underdogs it would seem after most people wrote us off this week - All the pressure on Kilburn: their flag to lose.

Saturday can't come fast enough.

Ralston is a big in. No 7 Nieterwhatever didn't play against us last time too. I wouldn't say that SMOSH are massive underdogs, it was a pretty tight game last week and you have two inclusions.

The week off can do funny things as well.

I'm predicting another very tight game. Which number are you Turbo?

Cibich will be a huge in for SMOSH with his height & speed, no doubt the pressure will be on Kilburn & it'll be interesting to see how they handle it after winning how many on the trot now?
The first half of the 2nd semi was hard intense footy & if SMOSH can sustain that for the whole game & finish off better their a huge chance.
Hope its a fine day for the big one.

Club has said no to a triple header. Match will be a stand alone game I believe.

Uni have requested playing triple header at Thebby D2 D2R & D8R

Plus why should our C grade who play at 2.15 have to play at 10.15 and supporters pay $15 to watch our c grade play if it is a triple header. Unless we want to stay and watch Kilburn get rolled in a GF and TBS to go kickless & statless in the GF. :supz: :supz: :supz:

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

I think that you will find if the SAAFL say it will be a triple header it will happen regardless of what you want, we had the same issue in our C grade back in 09, PAOC had three grades in the GF and we were made to play at 10:15 after playing 2:15 all year, we nearly had no coach who had work commitments on in the mornings but the SAAFL said too bad. Gives your C grade an earlier start to the celebrations FE ;)

Bit silly having a stand alone c3 grand final. Should let SMOSH play all three at the one ground. Great achievement to get all sides in a GF.

Is the entry fee $15? I thought it was only $8.

FE, I'd love to have your support at our game. You can tell everyone at the game that you think of the medal winner of the comp in person rather than on the Internet. We'd all love to meet you.

Well there ya go - very obvious should be two clubs wishes over one, and as TBS said, clubs with three grades in grand finals rewarded. Any other decision and the SAAFL look like a bunch of Muppets.

I have it on very good authority it will not be a triple header. The league does not have the authority to force a club to play a triple header if it does not agree to it.

Both clubs have to agree to it in this case we don't

It may have happened in the past under a previous dictatorship but not under the New World Order

Pretty poor form on behalf of Broadview if this is the case. I bet if the shoe was on the other foot, you would want a triple header also. Just one word.... Karma!
