They have so many awesome recruits that they are looking to play Collingwood instead, in the hope of getting some decent competition for the players.

Things may have changed Q. I didn't take the phone call at the club tonight but I was told they were not confident of having enough numbers for 2 teams for the trial.

Surely not? They recruited a whole team from Para Hills. Maybe a wedding or something?

Large number of their players play cricket, and would imagine with finals coming up they would be more likely to play cricket finals than a footy trial?

Truth be known, with cricket finals on the Saturday, we have opted on 2 trials with another club on Sunday the 18th. We have no problems in filling 2 sides, numbers have been rather impressive !

So there was no thought about contacting the club you had a trial game planned for on the Saturday and asking if that one could be changed to the Sunday? Especially as this trial had been planned over a month ago?

I wouldnt be suprised if you guys are right. Its a bit disappointing for us though since we declined a trial on this date because we had already made arrangements with Ingle Farm.

What a bunch of ungrateful upstarts! Y wouldn't you give North Pines a chance to play on the Sunday if the trial was organized with them so long ago?

Obviously they have another trial organised with another club on that date - no doubt organised well in advance as well! So to accomodate North Pines they would have to cancel that club, either way one club is unfortunately going to miss out, but thats life... deal with it!

Believe it is also against a div 7 club so that shoots your theory down and as for thinking your better than yourself, well i think everyone on this forum should go and get a big f*****g mirror.
